I've been going here since I was a kid. We almost always get the specialty steak and fried zucchini. Everything I've had there has been consistently delicious. I now live out of state and anytime I'm back in town we try to make a point of going there. They are still recovering from the pandemic but seem eager to get back to normal. Patience and flexibility may be needed from patrons. Unfortunately prices have gone up quite a bit but it's still within a range that I am okay paying for their food.

Great place for a family night out good food not too packed and you get attended to quickly get your food quickly it’s a good time. I’ve been twice this month.

Wow best steak house in chino area. Prices are a little high, but I think that comes with the times now and supply and demand. If I have any complaints it's that I wish there hours were a little different. I would like to see them open a little earlier. I work nights so I can't make the 400pm open time. Btw I have been going there ever since I moved to Ontario Andy dad took me when I was a young lad. Now 30 years later I'm still going with family and friends. Great family atmosphere. Warm and welcoming.

Absolutely delicious. Ordered the super Stockyard 16oz Steak, nice cut, cooked perfectly. Friendly and comfortable atmosphere.

We have ALWAYS LOVED THIS RESTAURANT!! My parents took me regularly (every weekend) for there steaks. I was 18 at the time, I'm now 54. Tony would always come out and have a seat with his customers. It was always great conversation with him. His wife would always make her rounds (as Tony would) to make sure customers were happy. Unfortunately, after Tony passed it wasn't the same for us. The food WAS and STILL is The Best It Can Be!! Tony has been missed. Today I'm back in town after moving 18 years ago. Had dinner there today with own MY family. Nothing has changed. They have ALWAYS had the BEST Onion Rings, Fried Chicken and of course NEVER had I ever had a BETTER STEAK anywhere else except here at (Tony's) Spunky Steers.

First time visit since Tony's reopened. Service and food was really good and restaurant was clean. But I was a little disappointed with the menu. It seemed watered down but I will get used to it.

Avoid this place at all cost. As steak people, my husband and I wanted to give this place a benefit of the doubt because it's local to us. My husband had the stockyard steak..wasn't even seasoned! I got the bacon wrapped filet which was super tuff and chewy. To make it worse I got a splinter from the steak knife while cutting. Definitely will not be back!

My family and I have been going here for years. It was nice talking about all the dinners we had over the years. The food was good and our server Erin was outstanding she made our dinner very nice. Also the guy helping Erin bussing the tables was very good also. We will definitely be back

The Spunky Steer is a hidden jem sitting in a shopping mall between a paint shop and a dollar store. You'll find no windows at this local steakhouse, but once you step inside, you won't give it a second thought.Although it may seem small, there's adequate seating. The menu isn't overly complicated, and while they may have fish tacos and chicken burgers, the focus is on the "steer".Food was served hot, prices are fair, and the staff is friendly. If you want a simple and unpretentious steak, you can't go wrong here. One thing to note, if you have a large party (8 or more), it does take longer to serve everyone. This is not a complaint, just an observation.

My wife and I both had country fried steak with salad and baked potato. Her food was a little on the cool side but they sent it back and made it right. The manager in charge checked back with us and he was super friendly as was our waitress. The place was packed but we were seated within 5 minutes and we were served promptly. Glad they're open once again after a long shutdown.

My wife has been telling me how great this place was for years. We were finally able to go. It was as good as she said it would be. When we arrived we were promptly seated. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful. All of the staff was happy and made us feel very comfortable. When our food arrived it was delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection. The side dishes were perfict. All of the restaurant was very clean, tables, floors even the restrooms. We had a great experience. We will be back again when we are in the area.

First visit after the remodeling. Great to be back, although I was expecting new furniture ?. The steaks are really good. The stockyard or the specialty steaks are our staples.

This was our This is not an upscale steak house, I asked for medium rare and I got medium almost well however it was still a delicious cut of meat. My mom & her best friend ordered the fish tacos with the sautéed veggies on the side and the Fish & Chips to share with each other. The fish batter is crispy and seasoned just right. The portions were a little on the large side they could've shared just the fish tacos and that would've been more than enough however with the left over fish & chips I will be making sandwiches tomorrow. If you're looking for a delicious diner style home made meal this is perfect. The service was excellent. Our server was Isaac and he was on top of it with the refills, condiments, napkins and any other requests. He has a very pleasant attitude and great energy. We will definitely be back soon. My mom is hard to please and she is ranting about this place. Prices are fair for the quality of food and service. The food looked so delicious I regret not taking a photograph for this post. I was taken back by how pleasant everything was.

Box mashed potatoes, canned gravy, bag salad plus hair, incompetent back of house can't cook steaks to order. A pale version of it's former self. Sad.
