Excellent customer service from the moment I called to make a reservation for my birthday and party of 18! Dayton was great welcoming our party in and offering the best selections for Shabu and appetizers. The flavors were delicious and recommended creamy vegetable broth with spicy tonkatsu, I loved it and brought left overs home as well. Space was great to accommodate our large party. We will definitely be back again when I have a good craving for soup!

Shabu Wara is one of the better shabu shabu options in this area. It is located in Chino Hills in the middle of the a plaza on the first floor. There is plenty of free parking all around the plaza. I have not ate here on the weekends, only on week nights and I haven't had to wait for a table. This includes coming on holidays like Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day. I've only had to wait for them to open at 5:00 PM. There is bar seating where the workers adjust your heat and table seats where you can adjust your own heat. The service is great! The staff is friendly and very attentive . The food is great! There is a diverse menu selection, lots of appetizers, booze, protein options, etc. The food comes out fast. The only thing I wish is that they served more veggies. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a quality shabu shabu dining experience.

Never in my life have I experienced service this bad as I did today. Couldn't even try the food, we waited so long to be acknowledged after sitting at our table. The wait to sit alone was long, but was expected, but It felt like my husband and I were ghosts... we didn't get acknowledged once from the many times the waiters passed by and served the other tables that were seated around the same time. We finally got the host come and nervously ask if we wanted anything to drink. We asked for a pitcher of beer, received it shortly after with half of it filled with foam.. waited another who knows how long in the twilight zone, still with no waiter. Just for the nervous host to ask "if we were going to be eating." We were over it and just asked to pay for the beer and walked out with the beer barely touched.

Went here on Tuesday night. It was good. The meat was fresh but the photo and menu showed more items but when we got there they were out of almost everything. No sushi, only salmon. Pretty disappointing since we drove all the way out there. Was too hungry and forgot to take pics. :(

I want to start off by saying that this is the first shabu place I have had in Chino. So I think I may be writing this from an unfair perspective but I really thought that for the price this was not worth it. AMBIANCE My partner and I visited this location on a Monday evening and it was eerily empty, the decor is really basic (cherry blossom stickers), the walls were dirty (from dried broth splatter), and honestly just not a vibe. I would avoid going here for a first date. It is more like committed relationship, wearing stained sweats, greasy clipped up hair, and I am too tired to cook tonight vibes SERVICE Our server was attentive, nice, and helpful. We never felt ignored or forgotten. FOOD 1. Honestly all the meat was SUPER good and fresh. We ordered the pork belly, lamb, and some sort of Australian wagyu. 2. The broth was okay we had the sukiyaki (which was a little sweet for my preference but it is supposed to be sweet) and the spicy miso Tonkatsu (which was a little watery and bland) 3. But what makes this place mid is really the price. For the same cost I could have gotten maybe not as high quality meat but still extremely good AYCE in OC. Personally, I would rather just go to boiling point in chino hills than here if i have a hot pot craving or I would just wait to go to OC on the weekend for better AYCE

This restaurant is fantastic, all the meats and veggies for the hot pot are super fresh. Broth is perfectly flavored; the staff are super nice and very helpful. I would highly recommend this place 5/5.

The service was great but it was obvious that it was because of them being out of menu items or not having what they advertised.It’s disappointing because drove 50 miles to try it out. The food wasn’t worth the price definitely broth shabu shabu level but prices higher and most items are out.
