We had a reunion with eight family members and sat on a table that was large enough for us all. First of all the food was served not warm but more on the cold side and so was the coffee. We had to return some plates for they where exaggeratedly cold. The prices are too much for the dinghy place that it is, for example, two banana crepes served plain cost = $16 plus a coffee, plus tip and taxes came to $27. Oh and the tip is added to your receipt! We aren't in La Jolla or Rancho Santa Fe. This is stupid Chula Vista.

First time trying this place. Came in around 9:30am on a Friday morning and it was already quite busy. I ordered the divorced chilaquiles and added some chicken. The plate came with two eggs and beans. I also ordered a mazapán crepe and a caramel latte to wash it all down. I was highly satisfied with my breakfast. The waitress took out drink order very quickly and before we knew it our meal was out too! The place is fairly small and because the food is great it can get very busy and cause a wait time. There's also very limited parking so you might have to find street parking but other than that I was very happy with my order and will definitely be back to try more off their drink menu!

We were looking to try something new and saw this cafe in Yelp. What a treat! It's small, quaint and clean. The staff immediately greeted us. Service was quick and attentive. The food was WONDERFUL! I had chilaquiles and added carnitas. It's the best I've had in Chula Vista. I loved the sauce and the pickled onions. My husband had birria tacos and said it was great. They have adequate parking. The clientele was mostly women having lunch out. They serve breakfast, brunch and lunch. Yelp said they had outside seating but I only saw one table and a couple of chairs on the sidewalk. It's next to a liquor store which isn't ideal and I did see a few homeless hanging around. We'll definitely be returning.

I ordered the carne asada and eggs. The carne asada and the eggs were dry and left things to be desired. The potatoes and beans were good but nothing extra ordinary. I also ordered a Chamango which was good and much bigger than I expected. The cafe itself was decorated well and felt like a good mix of style and coziness. Service was good. My waiter regularly checked in with me and asked how I was doing. Overall however I expected more from my plate considering the price I was paying for the food.

I had my small wedding dinner here. Their course meal was so great and we couldn't get enough of the strawberry water. They let us play music on their tv and set up the tables for us before we got there. It was beautiful. I highly recommend this place for small gatherings.

This food was so amazing. I ordered the largest option and ate every bit. The service is so quick and caring also. I really appreciated my visit and would love to come back. I think parking is an easy situation and the ambiance is nice and easy.

Hidden gem of a place. Nicely decorated, very cozy. The staff is very friendly. My mouth was watering just reading the menu. I was amazed at the incredible choices. I ordered a breakfast croissant sandwich, and it was delicious. The potatoes were equally delicious, and the french fries were perfectly seasoned. I will be back.

I had been wanting to try this place based on the "good reviews" on a local Facebook page for the area. I should have remembered this FB page does not allow for any bad reviews on community restaurants and that everything I was reading was "good". I wonder how many bad reviews have been deleted, because our experience was absolutely horrible. I have only submitted three Yelp reviews in my life, I feel compelled to share what we experienced at this restaurant so people can be aware. The place is extremely small, super stuffy and no airflow, normally I would have left but kept thinking it had great reviews. We ordered chilaquiles poblanos, an Americano and a Mazapan latte. The food came before the coffees, no biggie. Food tasted good and we ate while the coffees came. Finally the coffees arrive, the mazapan latte was just okay, however my husband's coffee cup had 3 sets of marked pink lipstick on the cup. DISGUSTING! We called the waiter over and he barely apologized, I think he was one of the owners. He just took the cup and said he would bring a fresh Americano. Took him 10 mins to bring the new coffee. I keep eating and what do I find, a hair in the eggs. Gross right! I am already feeling grossed out by the lips on the cups that I think I to myself no way this is happening too, hair in the food! I start to think maybe it's mine because I have a lot of hair but I try to get it with my fork but the hair is fully cooked into the egg! So Gross! We call the waiter over again and tell him what happened, he again doesn't seem to act like this is a big deal (if this was my restaurant I would have been appalled and extremely apologetic). We ask for our check, he discounts 50% and give us a coupon for a 2 for 1 meal when we come back. Yeah no thanks, we will never come back! The place didn't look very sanitary and it was proven by the lips on the cup and hair in the food.

Love it! Delicious homemade and tasty food, extraordinary and coordinated customer service, and relaxing ambiance. Not bad on prices at all. Above all, if not mistaken, the owner seems to be on point supervising. Highly recommended!

Food was excellent! We had the Birria omelet and the Hombre verde, both were very well done. The iced tea and coffee were also very good. Highly recommend!! Parking is a bit scarce.
