Pokey Bay was one of my favorite restaurants for seafood but I am starting to lose interest in coming here. I used to come here for the awesome food and atmosphere. The workers knew our names and we knew theirs. I can't say the same anymore. Lately, they've been out of ingredients that I usually get with my bowls like imitation crab. Missing things in their menu, out of order drinks. They're even out of chopsticks! They seem to be going through workers. I see new servers every time I come here. What's next? I'm not sure what's going on with management but it's not good. Hope they turn it around. I'd hate to have to find a new poke bowl place :-(

I'm so sad! What happened to this place?? Paper written signs everywhere of all the items they don't have or equipment that's broken .... They used to have the best poke bowls now not so much. Have the owners changed? Or did something happen that they just stopped caring? I hope they get back on track and clean up this place before it's all gone.

Quality is great.$18 for a bowl is pricey but they're very generous with the portion.

Worst experience ever today, horrible customer service, out of everything, tiny scoops and small portions. Tried giving them one last chance today but the lady working this Friday evening was just straight up so rude to us! We used to come here all the time! Never again!

First of let me start off and say that I HATE GIVING SMALL BUSINESS A bad review specially bc I always come here and I think this is better then the place across the street (more options and toppings) with that been said this is the fourth time I go and they don't have salad... you are next to a vons tell me why you don't have salad? You can't buy it there???Makes no sense at all!!! And please post it on the window so people don't waste their time waiting in line to find out you are out of multiple items

I used to rave about poke bay, NOT ANYMORE. Everything about this place has gone extremely downhill. First: Food options. They used to have so much variety and now they are always out of everything. In a month they have not been able to get the basics! Second: Portion size. They used to pack my bowl up where the lid barely closed and now it looks almost empty. With the smallest amount of fish. Finally: Prices. A low poke used to be $8, now a low poke is $13!!! Basically up 50% I would understand the price increase because inflation but how are you going to increase price and lower portion sizes?!?!? Worse of all, you are always out of the essentials. So what is the price increase paying for?!?! Its not chopsticks since they have been out for what seems forever!! Its definitely not a the fridge since its been out too! Its not the fish since I they are skimping out on it! I just dont understand the dramatic price increases with the low portion size and the low options. It seems very greedy. I used to always encourage everyone to come here but today was the day I reached my limit. Dont go here, save your money. The price is NOT worth it.

I observed staff Natalie and Holden, led by manager Kenny, demonstrate effective communication and teamwork along with excellent customer service in the form of friendliness, courtesy, and patience.

PokeBay USE to be our go-to spot for poke bowls because they would be generous with their fish and pile it on. I would go out of my way to specifically go here because of that. NOT anymore. This is the third time in 6 weeks that I've been here and they are out of SO many things. I did not leave a bad review the first or even the second time as I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Stuff happens, I get it, but you've lost my business. My family and I would go here about once a week or so. Today's trip was the straw that broke the camel's back! I went in and they were out of the following: tuna, spicy tuna, crab, edamame, seaweed salad, pineapple, ginger, spicy mayo, sriracha, house 2, and chop sticks. There's other stuff as well but not stuff unusually get. Unless somebody from PokeBay contacts me and tells me they've fixed ALL of these issues, you've lost our business for good!

Honestly used to be my favorite poke place to eat because of portion size, options and price! Now they have completely dropped the ball on all THREE PARTS! Portion size got significantly smaller on my last two trips have been significantly smaller in every single way! Then options they barely have anything anymore i went yesterday and out of SPICY MAYO, edamame, crab, etc. Then price went up too, which i understand with inflation but if you are going to raise your price keep the same portion and at least have everything everyone wants! Dissatisfied and disappointed with PokeBay I'm probably going to go back to Poke 1 and a half of make the drive to poke etc. :(

Poke Bay is the best poke in all of San Diego! Their fish is alway so fresh! Love their toppings! We probably have poke once a week if not more. But oh man! Their poke size changes every week.. you usually get a huge bowl to the point where they can't even close the lid & today I went and this is the smallest bowl I've ever received. Still paid my usual $30 something for my two bowls. Super disappointed.

I got food poisoning from PokeBay! I had been a frequent client to PokeBay for a couple of months now. However, this past Saturday, I went to buy a poke bowl and the employee stated that they were out of salmon and Tuna, however, they still had some spicy tuna "left". Now that I think about it, that spicy tuna might have been old and not kept fresh through the day. As an avid poke/sushi eater, I know how important it is to keep raw fish fresh and refrigerated before consuming. After I ate my Poke, after about 30 min of consuming, I started experiencing every single food poisoning symptom. I went to the ER and they confirmed that I had food poisoning. Please be careful!

This place used to be my favorite but not sure if they're under new management or something. They always seem to be out of salmon and other items. Need to find a new reliable poke spot now.

This place has amazing Poke! Every time I've ordered from here my food has been absolutely outstanding. Today I came in and unfortunately they were out of the lemon pepper albacore (my absolute favorite) so I decided to try something else; the scallops and octopus. I 100% enjoyed it! ONE THING: other reviews have mentioned the lack of staff here & poor management, which is something I've noticed myself ever since day one of coming here. I really hope this place hires more employees & wish nothing but success for this business!

I love the poke bowls here.I usually get the ahi tuna but they were out this time so I tried the salmon. It was a bit fishy for my liking. But the ahi is always perfect! There are a lot of options for toppings and sauces so you can switch it up each time. The staff is always very friendly as well.

Didn't get to take a picture of my bowl but it was good! I got the half and half (spring mix and white rice) small. Which consists of two protein and adding your toppings. I got the house special sauce which had a great taste but I expected it to be spicier. Either way, I will be coming back when I need my poke fix!
