Really, really wanted to love this place. We pulled in here super hungry. Service was great, although we did have to wait for our waters. The restaurant is cute and its nice that they have a full bar. The food, however, is terrible and over-priced. This should not even be called korean food. We ordered hot stone beef and tofu soup, shrimp and scallion pancake, bimibap, and the fried pork dumplings. All were greasy with fat being the only flavor. The rice was good and so was the water. Do not recommend until they get a new cook. I love korean food, but this is not it. Very much regret eating here. Waste of time and $100. Peace.

When you walk into the Spoon House, it's like stepping into a cozy yet chic little world. It's one of those places that instantly makes you feel at ease and excited about the meal to come. Right from the get-go, the staff makes you feel welcome. They're not just doing their jobs; they clearly love what they do, and they're super keen on making your experience memorable. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu might seem like it's straight to the point, but each dish tells a story of creativity and passion for flavors. The chef has this incredible knack for taking simple, good-quality ingredients and turning them into something absolutely magical.Their signature pasta dish is something you won't forget. It's cooked just right – that perfect middle ground where it's not too hard and not too soft. The sauce, though, is where the magic really happens. It's rich, heartwarming, and luxurious, all while making the ingredients shine. And if you're wondering about drinks, their wine selection is on point. It feels like each wine has been handpicked to go perfectly with your meal, whether you're in the mood for something bold or something a bit lighter. In short, dining at Spoon House is an experience you don't want to miss. It's not just about good food and wine; it's about feeling right at home, in the hands of people who genuinely care about giving you an unforgettable meal.

This Korean Restaurant at the heart of Chula Vista is hard to miss. I highly recommend the vegetable Spring Rolls that comes with the Sesame seed sauce is delicious ??. The price is very reasonable and affordable. The humble Lady, who runs the place, her customer service is 10/10. Thank you for your service. I will surely be back.

We had been wanting to try the food here. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was great, really delicious. ? I think you should get rid of the pool table and put more seating in.

Can't decide what was better, the food, customer service, or cocktails! The bulgogi fries were delicious, some of the best bulgogi my boyfriend and I had! He loved the chicken wings with mild sauce on them and said it reminded him of when he was in Busan. You can tell a lot of care goes into not only the food but the restaurant as a whole for how clean and well taken care of it is. Jack was the bartender there and did an awesome job, drinks were delicious and he made sure we were taken care of. Could not recommend this place more! Will be coming back often with friends!!

Service was decent but their food was very bland. The tteok-bokki tasted like it was watered down as it did not have any taste into it. We also ordered the spicy pork plate, this plate felt like there was something missing in its ingredients that we cannot figure out. We ended up not finishing both plates. It was hard for us to leave a review like this but as we kept digging through the reviews, we have found the same critic about the food that they serve. We thought that they have had adjusted some of their dishes per the comments of their previous diners.

I got the beef bibimbap to go for $20. I did come in the early afternoon, so there weren't many people eating there and it was pretty empty with not many tables or seats around. There is a pool table off to the side too. It's hard to imagine this being a place for cocktails, but I'm here in the daytime for the food so I don't really care. The food only took about 10 minutes to come out ready to go in a to-go box, and the lady serving up front was nice. The flavors aren't bad, loved the mix of gochujang and sesame oil, but I only took off a star because it was not that filling, wish there was more beef, rice, and veggies. Comes with one sunny side up egg as well.
