Family restaurant of a friend of mine but they treated her like a guest and me, like family! Let me have a small get together in the back corner for a couple hours with friends and family.

Very nice people run the place, but the food was flavorless. The rice was just plain white rice with none of the seasonings I expected. Same with the chicken...nicely cooked but only with the very slightest hint of salt, lemon...maybe oregano too. Very disappointing and not worth the price. Won't be going back.

This is a very unusual review for me of food not served in the restaurant that prepared th meal. I attended a celebration at an outdoor park in Elk Grove. I'm not Completely sure what the event was in support of. The weather was perfect, and the family friendly vibe was exciting. If I may say, the event coordinator's did an outstanding job of welcoming, answering questions and being totally in charge of the love. Now, back to the food. Many choices were being offered: the dish was being offered by a young representative of the restaurant. Shy, but completely familiar with the choices. The dish is named Kofta, Rice. The meatballs because of the irregular shape suggested hand rolling; the rice was the longest kernel I have ever seen...yellow suggesting saffron and curry. The gravy was generous and flavorful. A small container of cilantro and other spices complement the dish.I was taken by first bite. While I did not sample this meal from the restaurant that created it, if this is what they produce from a "food tent" consider what can be explored at the Armenian Kitchen. From the Mother kitchenAs

We had the lamb, Carolina hot wings, and baklava. All the food was soo good! ? ? ? Definitely one of the best spots in town. Eat here! You won't be disappointed.

The gyro was way too modified and wasn't a gyro at all actually. Maybe name it something else so as not to disappoint people. They've received rave reviews. But I must have missed something.

Good service, good food. A bit pricey for a dine in fast food. Ofcourse not comparing with franchise fast food because they are much better quality than franchise fast food.

Fantastic tasting food! Had the lamb gyro wrap and would have liked just a little bit more meat. However, so glad I stopped here to eat. Definitely will be eating here again.

Always enjoy a good shashlik (BBQ) from here. Meat is well seasoned, tender and juicy.

Great little unpretentious place for delicious food. This was our first time, so we tried several items- The lamb wrap was filled with flavorful flame cooked chunks. The tasty chicken kabob came with fluffy, separate rice, a salad and hummus. We tried the borscht, which was brothy but delicious, and the potato piroshki that had a tender sweet authentic pastry. We topped it off with the walnut cake that was dense, full of walnuts, and not overly sweet. -all at a very good value. It is located kitty corner from Target. We are so happy to find this gem!

When trying food that I know nothing about, I am open minded and respectful. I can't suggest more of this or that because I wouldn't know what it was supposed to taste like to begin with. I think it's just a matter of either I liked it or it's just not for me. Nothing to do with their seasoning or how they cook. On that note, I love exploring different cultures and their food and I usually like things even when they taste like nothing I've ever had before because I don't go in with any expectation. I really loved what I ordered here. The lamb rice bowl was light and very tasty. Got some hummus and I just did my own thing until I ate every last bite. I also got the loaded fries and really enjoyed those too. My family and I will definitely be back to try other things. Service was nice when getting to go and it was also pretty quick.

Excellent food, and service; if you like Greek, Syrian, or Iraqi style gyros, rice, and meat i think this place will be a good fit for you. I will definitely be back but with a bigger appetite this time.

I visit this outstanding restaurant from time to time since I like the special atmosphere that is exist in this place. The crew is extremely cordial and qualified. The service is extraordinarily rapid. Needless to say, the food they cook is magnificent. I frequent many times and I was always delighted. The expense is honest. I highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.

I went to this restaurant once before they remodeled and a couple more times recently. I like what they did with the place. Their service is still straight forward, prompt, and their food is good. Their Armenian fries are perfectly salted. Meats and veggies are fresh. Good stuff!
