We just got back from take away order of 3 street tacos of shredded chicken and Chile Relleno Burrito, Drinks (Melon and Horchata), and salsa sauces based off the reviews.We were the only customers waiting for food and we sat facing the front desk which gave us good view of the kitchen area and we noticed that the cook used the microwave to warm up some of our food items.3 Street Tacos - chicken was bland, full of poultry smell and taste. I could only finish 2 out of 3 tacos despite adding their sauces for additional flavoring. It was not enjoyable.Chille Renello Burrito - It was a bit bland, mostly full of lettuce and rice. There was one chille renello with cheese in it. I had to add sauce on it and was hungry to get through it.Melon and Horchata Drink - Melon drink tasted very sugary, syrupy, and a bit off. Unfortunately, we had to let it go after one sip. Horchata was sweet too, but not as bad as the melon.Sauces - we got 4 types of sauces. Hot and Mild Salsa were decent too but not flavorful.Chips were crispy, fresh, and probably the best of part of the meal.Not sure if something was off tonight or they might have a different cook, but our experience was different than reviews on here. Hopefully this helps to improve the food quality and flavor.

The breakfast burritos are so good and the rolled tacos are amazing! Nice little salsa bar and the staff is always friendly. Quick service and the price is right. Haven't gone for lunch/dinner, but I'm sure it's as good as the breakfast!

My first time going here I was looking for a really good burrito and I drive past this place all the time and decided to finally stop and try it. There were several people in front of me in line but when it was my turn to order, the woman working was soo nice and made me feel like a regular. I ordered a chicken fajita burrito and added cheese and guacamole and it was like $11. It also came with free chips and salsa. They have amazing salsa!! I love the sour cream style salsa! I was amazed how fast my food came out, especially with all of those people in front of me! I didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes. I got my food to go and ate at home. This is the best burrito I have had in as long as I can remember!! Not only is it massive, it's loaded with meat and they did not skimp on anything. Super fresh and amazing! Highly recommend!!! Thank you guys!!

Wow, this place is amazing. Carne asada taco was huge and stuffed with ingredients and FLAVOR!. Chile verde burrito was also gigantic and had a great verde taste. Chips crisp and fresh and the hot red salsa is perfecto. I called because they hadn't confirmed my Doordash order, and the lady I spoke with was so sweet. Their app was glitching, but she was able to find my order and made it right away. Everything arrived hot, and even the chips were warm. I can't wait to try more items. Highly, highly recommend!
My food is always the best and so is Patricia who works there, that woman needs a raise just saying!! She's the sweetest Same day. My order was placed w DoorDash and my driver delivered to the wrong door. Patricia was gone and Maria helped out with the rest of my order. Gilberto's has the best customer service when it comes to these 2. Especially Patricia

Yelp Badass Donovan Hughes recommended that I try this place, and my taste buds will forever be in his debt. This place truly makes some of the best tacos ever. With 6-inch tortillas, any more than 4 tacos is too much for one person--trust me, I tried killing 5, lol. But you'll leave happy and already craving a return trip, maybe as soon as tomorrow. I ordered a variety of tacos--pastor, carnitas, carne asada, Adobado, and lengua--and at that 6-inch size, they were huge and packed with meat, onions, and cilantro. OMG, so good! The flavor of each variety of meat was much better than 98% of the Sacramento taquerias I've been to. The shredded lengua was different from the typical cubed pieces at most taquerias I've been to. Maybe not my favorite meat of the day, but still good. The Taco Stand has a large parking lot, but no visible bathroom. There are 5 outdoor tables and NO indoor seating, making it a pickup and to-go-only establishment.
