The bread of the empanada is mildly sweet and palatable to everybody. The place is neat and organized. I like that every table has an antibacterial gel. I came for the tuna empanada and liked the beef flavor the most. On weekends, they have arroz caldo and Filipino champurado.Vegetarian options: Mushroom and cream and corn and cream for vegetarians.

Best place for Filipino empanadas bar none! Who would have thought tuna melt empanada would be a good idea. They did! I thought...hmm...that can't be good. That would be gross. But I tried it anyway ?. Damn! I was blown away! Also tried their beef and chicken empanada. All were excellent. My only complaints were they sell by the piece. There's no discount for buying in quantity. Their pricing seems lower if buying from the store vs online pricing. They also charge an extra 3% if you pay using a credit card.

The beef empanada is sooooooo goooooodddd.... I got two for each flavor, and they are all good. But there is no comparison for beef one. It has beef and potato I there, and the crust was crunchy and fluffy and not overwhelmed with the egg or buttery flavor. Try the Pandan Coconut Milk is awesomely great! I wish they have a special box price, but I also glad they don't. Otherwise I will be gaining weight too fast to order a dozen each time.Parking: Same plaza with Starbucks

The empanadas/dots are well baked. Was really impressed by the mushroom fillings. It had proper cut bites and cooked to perfection in my opinion. The corn cheese empanada was tasting good as well. Definitely will come back to check out the soups and get cozied by a nice vibe inside. Thank you!

Today the 10th which is Veterans Day, would be a good day to have empanadas. Stop by at a filipino bakery especializing in empanadas. Empanadas are really good but customer service need a lot of improvement. The young lady that served us was very cold, no greeting, no thank you, not even a little smile. It feels like she doesn't want to be there. Sad, and I hope she is not the owner. No wonder we were the only customer. With this kind of service and even with good empanadas, there won't be many repeat customers. I will be thinking twice coming back at this place because there are many good empanada vendors at West Covina. Nowadays, with inflation and a quesionable economy, it's desirable to experience good food and good customer service if not excellent..................

Win your next potluck by picking up a handful of empanadas from here. The store itself is super cozy and feels like you're supporting a local business. I know they have two locations but I love a good mom and pop. I ordered ahead of time and the service was friendly. I love the selection of empanadas from sweet to savory. I feel like they were reasonably priced and come out really hot. The outside of the empanada is crunchy while the inside it's nice and flavorful. My favorites were the chicken fajita and beef. They were not dry at all on the inside and taste fresh. The only thing that would've made them better would've been a sauce like chimichurri. The outside of the empanada is a little doughy and dense so you definitely need something to moisten it up so it doesn't feel like it's just eating dough. Next time I come back I definitely want to try the other Filipino treats. I would definitely suggest stopping by here next time you're in the area.

Absolutely delicious!! ?Instead of spending five or six bucks at McDonald's, get two meat and potato empanadas. Way healthier for you and better quality.

This place is perfect if you need a quick bite or attending a potluck (they also sell by the dozen). I had the chicken, chicken fajita, mushroom and P.M.P. (peach mango pineapple) empanadas. The chicken filling was juicy and the pastry was buttery. The empanadas were more filling than I expected. The calamansi peach green tea was super refreshing, especially on a hot summer day. I took my order to-go, but there is plenty of seating if you prefer to dine-in. The space is airy and cute with plants scattered around. They also have a water refilling station! Absolutely loved how they were playing Shinee's Replay when I walked in .

I tried this place on a whim while looking through Google. The inside is clean and welcoming. I tried the beef, chicken, mushroom and ube empanada as well as the mango smoothie. The empanadas are an interesting shape and look close to a bolo bao on the outside. The beef empanada is the clear winner and would make for an interesting alternative for lunch or breakfast. The chicken filling is similar to pork floss, the mushroom one was a little dry for my liking and the ube one while interesting did not leave a lasting impression with me.

Every morning, my partner requires either a blood sacrifice, or a strong cup of coffee. The latter brought us to Starbucks this morning. The beast, knowing he would be appeased, took mercy on me when I said, “Amor, EMPANADAS! We’re getting some!”Empanadas are some of my favorite food. Ever since I was little and I had barely-edible elementary school cafeteria empanadas, I just can’t get enough. But since then, I’m inclined to try any empanadas I find at least once, especially savory ones. These did NOT disappoint. Soft, crisp, slightly sweet and savory exterior. And every single type of filling we tried was lovely. We had 2 Beef, 1 Chicken, 2 Mushroom and 1 Peach/Mango/Pineapple. And knowing how much we loved them and how we made sure to taste each others’ (I got the chicken and he got the PMP), I wish we’d tried some more variety.I can’t wait to go back!!! Thanks for such an amazing tasty dose of nostalgia.
