Good neighborhood Chinese BBQ restaurant. Their roast ducks are excellent. Would also recommend the house noodle soup as the broth is very flavorful. No frills restaurant with average service. Prices are reasonable. They also have lunch specials during the week day.

I have been driving past the restaurant for a few years now. We decided to try the place. The service was great. The owners are super friendly, courteous, polite and if you have questions re the menu or not sure what it is, Cindy and Tree explains everything to you.I haven't had duck and roasted pig in ages, it is fresh. I had their 3 items combo. It was great. I had stir fried Chinese broccoli noodle w/it. Hubby had seafood hot pot soup. Both dishes were great. I had alot of leftovers to take home too. Also if you want roasted pig, better go when it opens, they sell out by 12 p.m.This will be one of my fav places for Chinese food.I would recommend this place.

My most favorite dish to order here is the SeaFood Liang Mian Huang (The 2 sides stir fried noodles with gravy and SeaFood) and then my second favorite item to order here is the Large SeaFood Thick Rice Noodles Soup (Hai Sian Huh Fen Tang) and for the appetizers I like the peking duck, BBQ pork and the soy sauce chicken. The crispy pork is good and the braised pig intestines are not worth the appetizers. The braised pig intestines have a strong taste and smell, they are very chewy and they are not worth the most protein and does not taste tender like the peking duck, braised roasted duck with plum sauce, crispy pork, BBQ pork or the braised soy sauce chicken. The lobsters, clams with black bean sauce, scallops with black bean sauce and the salted peppered fried shrimp are also my favorite dishes I have tried here. I recommend mostly their traditional noodle soups or their Chow Mein even Liang Mian Huang. Their traditional House Noodle Soup comes with ground pork, pork slices, fish cakes, shrimps and a choice of either a piece of chicken or duck and pork broth.Kid-friendliness: This restaurant offers kids to order or come in with the parents especially if youngsters want to order their own meals or dishes here from the menu items and pay with their own awarded or given cash and tips. From the last time I used to order here, this resturant used to being just called (Kim Tar BBQ Resturant). This place now got remodeled and changed the name to (New Kim Tar BBQ Resturant) the name New is included in the resturant's name and location. I remember this resturant is cash only and now that it's been called New Kim Tar BBQ Resturant so, I am not sure if it's still cash only or now they accept debit and credit cards with an required amount to use the credit and debit cards to get the customers paid for check.

I was sick with laryngitis and wanted jouk / congee and this place had chicken jouk! It was hot, delicious and soothing for my throat. There was a good about of chicken in it too! Will return to try their BBQ!

Loved it, the only problem I had was that the food got cold really fast where you couldn't enjoy it, possibly because of the air conditioner, I felt I had to eat it really fast before it got coldOtherwise, the food was delicious
