Worst Japanese restaurant ever. Service grumpy and fish paper thin.

I will never eat at another sushi place again, especially in this area ! Kisetsu is the real deal. The fish is EXTREMELY fresh and the best quality I have had in a number of years. The service is superb and the owner Joel and team bring a fun vibe while in a nice cozy setting. I can't say enough about how good the food is here and a bonus is the affordable price points ! My friend who doesn't historically eat sushi now eats sushi after eating here! We can't wait to come back very soon. Thank Joel and team for such a great experience !

This is a surprising sushi gem in the IE. I never expected such great sushi in the area. This place can go head-to-head with any place in Gardena or Torrance. Chel Joel is entertaining, friendly and knowledgeable. He has fish you can’t get anywhere else, and it’s expertly selected. I no longer have to drive far to get good sushi, you will not be disappointed!!

Our go to dumpling place is in the same shopping center. There was a line tonight so we decided to go here. So thankful to have tried this place. The food was excellent and the service was great. Perhaps our new go to!

My friend and I had a lovely lunch here. My friend is a very picky eater, so it was great to see her enjoy everything and eat heartily. And I enjoyed everything I had as well. We each had a lunch special. The service was very good and the owner is friendly and welcoming. There's lots of easy parking. We will be going back.Parking: The restaurant is located in a shopping center so there's a huge parking lot all around it.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The quality of the sushi/sashimi was superb. This place doesn't have a million cut rolls, like other sushi restaurants. Instead, they have a "specials" board that highlights the various cuts of fresh fish they are serving that day. The only aspect of the restaurant I didn't enjoy was the brightness of the interior lighting. I felt like I was at the dentist, with a light shining in my face! The service was quick and friendly. I will definitely be going back!

Went for lunch. Sashimi combo was excellent. Better than other places within a 5 mile radius. Would recommend.

Our only go to sushi place in LA. Sushi always fresh. If you look at the board they have finest choices of sushi, oysters, wagyu. Their cuts are proportional to the rice. Fish melts in your mouth. You have this gastronomic explosion in your mouth in every bite. Place is like sushi version of Cheers everyone knows your name. Staff are very friendly, accommodating, pleasant, polite.

I grew up eating Japanese food and I am very fond of the Japanese culture, so much that I did ondo in the Nisie Week Parade when I was only 10 years old. Stopped in here because I found the review on Yelp and I was just up the street. I ordered the lunch combination of tempura and sashimi, the food was delicious! I know that I only ordered the basic Japanese food but I am going to go back and try sushi and sashimi and other things that the restaurant has to offer. The service was quick and friendly. This place is a hidden l gem.
