standard, average brunch experience with overpriced items and not much uniqueness. came in on a sunday at around 1pm and service was quite slow, despite there not being a *ton* of people. as usual, they upcharge significantly if you choose to add protein.
The atmosphere here really steals the show. One feels like a mid-century dining experience cannot be replicated easily. However, this place has authentic decorations and pushes it to the top. The value is debatable however the menu reflects the quality of the Ambiance and the excellent service. Since I only came here for a brunch snack and got an appetizer I can say that the appetizer was great and the Singapore Sling was well done. This restaurant hit the spot.We ordered the hot chick sandwich and the rose lemonade and rosé. The chicken was by far the crispiest and not over-breaded fried chicken I’ve ever had. It had the perfect amount of mayonnaise based sauce and pickles and had a great kick to it which was balanced by a pleasantly surprising sweet flavor.
