Very hospitable. Staff really went the extra mile and found a little can of Sprite for my grumpy young one. Very cool setting off the beaten path. I'm told the stream by the Zin grapes makes the flavor as excellent as it is.

Courtney was a great host, very knowledgeable about each wine. We had a perfect day for our Anniversary weekend. The Petite Syrah was wonderful we purchased 2 bottles. The grounds were beautiful.

What a charming winery to visit! And the cool, underground cellar, perfect for a tour on a hot NorCal day! The tastings are fun and personable with the most charming of hosts. The location is of course spectacular, as the family built into the side of an elevation, and the view overlooks the winery's water reservoir and vineyards. I didn't try much of the food while we were there, but the menu looked lovely and you can bet, if weddings and receptions take place there, the winery can support delicious foods that compliment their wine selections. This winery is a personal treat to visit when taking visitors and guests on a 'wine county' tour, since the naturally cooled interiors are perfect for me, the forest-dwelling nocturnal that I am. Bon appétit!

We went to celebrate my Mom's birthday and they absolutely exceeded our expectations, giving her the VIP treatment. They even created a cute sign for her! The views are simply stunning, rolling hills, vibrant gardens, and picturesque picnic tables dotting the property. The wine is absolutely top-notch with their Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Zinfandel being our favorites (even bought a few bottles). The winery and tasting room are built right into the hillside atop of a cave, so you can take a tour of their underground caves while you taste their fantastic wines! We had an amazing experience that left us eagerly anticipating the chance to bring more people to this hidden gem. This is truly a must-visit destination!

Went to this winery as we were camping at the thousand trails near by and it did not disappoint!! Kristen our server was very knowledgeable in the wines, background and the grounds. The atmosphere was spectacular! We chose to sit outside as it was a beautiful sunny day and the view was stunning!! Lots of flowers, birds and wildlife to go along with the suburb wine list! We will most definitely be back! The you for making our experience amazing!!

Not impressed. Went during the #DCVpassport event. The caves were closed, although they were featured in the passport description of Fritz. Thought the wines were OK and the food pairing unmemorable. The view was beautiful.

Proprietors, Clay & Tally Fritz and bon vivants with more than enough joie de vivre to offer. It rubs off on you when you’re there. And, the winery is like no other! It’s underground! A wine country must-see! Do yourself a favor and visit. They’ll take you underground!

We were in the Alexander Valley for a week and tried a different winery each day. This by far was the most disappointing...we pre-paid over $100 which included a tasting, cheese platter, and tour. We did not get a tour and the tasting did not even equate to a full glass of wine. The cheese platter was paltry and we could of have completed the entire tasting in 15 minutes (with no gulping ;) The other experiences in the area were excellent with a much more engaging staff and often encompassing a full knowledge of the wines, history of the area, and a tour of the grounds. We definitely will not be back and will try many of the other opportunities in the area and revisit some of the others that were superb!

Off the beaten path but fantastic place! My friends and I went for out friendiversary and loved the personalized program. Courtney was great and very knowledgeable. She even gave us a tour when we asked! Everyone was so friendly and the "small bites" box was to die for.

The folks at Fritz pulled out all the stops for our personal tasting and tour, with a group of east coast friends who were in town for a cycle event. Thanks to Andy for making our visit so special! Pretty darn good wines, too!
