“My husband and I stopped in for post Christmas shopping around 7:45 last night. We were the only ones in there and it made for a lovely, quiet dining experience. The staff was very friendly and helped us narrow down what we wanted to order. The menu wasn't humongous, which was nice, as in our experience most sushi restaurants have so much it makes choosing anything a battle. I also really liked that they offered half rolls of sushi instead of the whole rolls. It makes it a lot easier to try different things without filling up too much.I got the seaweed salad, half a ruby roll and the salmon sashimi. My husband ordered a REALLY spicy roll and a full crispy onion roll. We also got some of the drinks in the fridge at the front.Everything was really good and the food was served to us cafeteria style after about 15 minutes, with the plates and chopsticks etc. on a big tray. I liked how low key it felt, as neither of us were really in the mood for pomp and circumstance. It was only at the end of the meal once everything had been eaten that I wished I had taken a photo to post with this review. My husband raved about the spicy roll he got, as many places are a let down with their spice levels. He had tears running down his face and got the hiccups at the end of that roll and loved every second. My favorite was the salmon sashimi - very consistent mouth feel and great mild flavor. The ruby roll had a bit of heat too, but that was the ideal level of spice for me.Their drink selection was great too - definitely try the creamy melon soda and white peach black tea!We noticed they offered catering and grabbed a slip for it and the pricing is fantastic so we're definitely planning on coming back in February for our oldest daughter's birthday dinner.Long story short - if you're looking for good sushi, fair prices and a low key atmosphere don't sleep on Sashimi Express.“
“I think we have found our new ramen spot. We had lunch at this establishment and it did not disappoint. To begin with, the menu can be found on the wall. The menu isn’t large, which I like because it makes it easier to choose from the items. Since it was our first time there, they recommended we tried one of their ramen dishes first. I’m glad we did because it was delicious. They also told us that they specialized in pork for their ramen. My son ordered the Kurotaka Ramen but substituted the pork with chicken. The chicken is served fried and it was delicious. I ordered the Kurotaka Spicy Ramen, served with pork, and it was also delicious. The pork was tender and flavorful. The broth was one of the best I’ve tried in Fresno. When it comes to ordering and you’re dining in, you can either sit at a table and use the QR code. It will take you to the website and you can place your order there. If QR codes aren’t your thing, they can also personally take your order. We used the QR code and it was super easy to place our order. We look forward to coming back again soon!“
“I made an order online to pick up, and when I arrived to pick up it was ready and the staff was very nice. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and I seriously haven’t enjoyed a meal as much as a I did in years, it was so good. Wish I was close by to get all the time.“
“This little place is a GEM! We eat here fairly often. There place is small but they do offer a small patio of seating as well. We didn't even know the place existed until our son attended F.C.C. across the street. It's not just filled with college students hanging out. Everything is fresh and hot. They have a good menu selection. Even when we order delivery, our hot food always comes hot. Employees are kind and service has always been great when we dine-in as well. I recommend teying the food if you haven't. The ramens, fried rices, orange chicken, steak....it's all very tasty!“
“i loooovvee this place!! you have to try the jalapeño poppers as well as the ramen. my go to is the miso ramen medium spicy and it’s perfect amount of spicy if you can handle it. i’ve tried many ramen restaurants in fresno and none compare to the ramen here. it has much more flavor than the broth at other ramen restaurants. the servers here are kind and the owner always welcomes us back and asks how things are. definitely check this place out.“
“I found this place to be ok. I tried the ramen, eel bento box, green onion pancake, and the chicken cutlet curry. Overall, I've had better experiences with the ramen and the curry at other local places. For reference, I prefer the ramen at ramen hayashi and the chicken cutlet curry at Tamari Robatayaki. It wasn't bad here, but it wasn't better than the other locations I've been to and overall I'd say it was alright. There was plenty of parking, the service was good, and the atmosphere was alright.“
“I had just got off of work at 8:30 pm and wasnt feeling really good. I got the gyoza ramen. OH MY GOSH ITS SO DELICIOUS ? I'm going to take my husband here alot! Hehe. The staff was very nice as well, and the restaurant is super clean and pretty!“
“After an event downtown we sought a restaurant to deter the cold. We settled on this ramen place and were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was helpful and patient. The recommended ramen was full of flavor and delicious. Definitely worth the drive downtown.“
“Simply delicious! Welcoming environment, they make the most of their space. Great location, easy to find. Glad I tried the special that night, Birria Ramen-wow! So good! Just enough spicy, perfectly tender meat. Ben enjoyed his traditional pork broth ramen as well.“
“It was decent sushi. Not as many choices as most local sushi places. Still good. This is a strange review to write. There was nothing wrong with the place but I'll probably go to others instead. Oh but did not like garlic edimame, tasted sweet.“
“10/10!!! This place is amazingly delicious. Came in with my husband for a lunch date and it did not disappoint!! We got Nigiri to start, yellowtail, albacore, and salmon, then had the super Mario roll, Larry the lobster, crazy roll, and dragon roll. We had to take some home with us we couldn’t finish it LOL!! We will be back to try the other rolls soon!!Thank you !!!“
“The wife had a spicy miso soup ( #4 ), very flavorful, quick service and good portions. I had a steak Rice bowl ( #8 ), took a bit longer to, but it was nice and hot, freshly made, so it was worth the wait. Same with the chicken egg rolls, a bit of a wait, but freshly made and absoulutly delicious. I previously had the spam masubi and these too were delicious.“
