Everything needs to be improved. Has a 2.9 for a reason (well many)The hood was broken, so much smoke/steam everywhere. There was so much water at the bottom of our plates you would think it was some kind of "new" soup dish. The food itself was far from good. A person might think this was some sort of prank, to see how far you can push the customers before they get upset. Lol.All in all: Save yourself the trouble & time, there's plenty of good teppanyaki restaurants around.

Seating hosts are not communicating and it led us to waste 30 minutes waiting to not be seated. Came in around 6:40 and were told there was a guaranteed table at 7:30 but by 7:10 if reservations hadn't shown we'd be first to be seated in their place. So we waited for that 7:10 check-in. Around 6:55 the host told us we'd be seated soon because someone called and cancelled their reservation. Then another server came to the front and loudly told her "if you're going to seat anyone, seat this other group because they were here." There was no one in our line of sight that was there before us. The second server repeated herself and said "seat them first" in a strong tone. They didn't say anything to us until right after 7:10 as we were walking up to the counter to ask if we'd be seated (thinking maybe they wouldn't be rude enough to dismiss us like that right in front of us), the second server said "oh, you won't be seated until 7:30. There was another party before you." I'm sure the food is good but if you're not in the mood for terrible service, I'd skip this location.

To start of positive... the food was delicious. The experience absolutely not. The chef began with "smoke will go... this way" as he pointed straight to where my friend and I were sitting. We thought it was a joke. Until the entire time we had smoke just drafting straight into our eyes and lungs. It was horrible. They obviously know about this problem with their crap ventilation, because once I got home I saw multiple reviews complaining about the same thing going back to at least 4 months ago. Really took away from the whole experience and wish I had said something in person, not sure it would have made a difference. Definitely sure I Won't be returning. There are definitely enough other places with great teppanyaki and zero issues with smoke like this. Hard pass, so disappointing.

Absolutely. Amazing!!! Amazing staff made the entire night so wonderful and entertaining! The food was phenomenal! Everyone at our table was practically crying with pure love and joy from how amazing the food was. The atmosphere was so family friendly, and had beautiful architecture. Definitely would come again and would recommend to a friend even a picky friend!

I have no clue why this place has 4 stars. The sushi was absolutely terrible. It tasted like a freezer. They served bland potatoes salad with dinner - I thought this was a Japanese restaurant. I paid 120 bucks for dinner and it’s going straight in the trash. I guess the miso soup was ok - but everything else I ordered was inedible. I won’t go here ever again.

Chicken is chewy and dry and flavorless. The mushrooms were fine. 26 $ I hated it 4 years ago and it was worse tonight. Gave it a second chance but sorry it was not good. I'm I'm amazed it stays in business ! The sauce makes it look pretty. Probably left over chicken from yesterday.

I was 5 minutes late for my reservation because I booked the wrong location. That was my fault. However when I arrived 5 minutes late at the Clovis location the staff said the would work me in within the next 30 minutes. That was great! What they failed to mention was that they would work me in “if someone didn’t show up” otherwise it would be a 2 hour wait! Had they told me when I arrived we would of left since again it was my fault for booking the wrong location. Instead they let us sit there and wait without saying anything! Have never been to the Clovis lox before, and never will go back.

I ordered two unopened splits of korbel but they served me one and a half of an opened one. But they still charged me for two full bottles of what I ordered. I brought it to their attention and they confirmed amongst each other that that is how they handle serving splits. Where they should have apologized and brought the second bottle as charged for. Poor service and management

Last visit we had apparently a new chef. The vent on the hood was not on or broken and all customers were taking in a lot smoke. Chef barely spoke and mainly pointed if he was asking you something. The steak was one of the worst I have had, overcooked. This was not typical for us when eating here.

Placed a to go order with them, we got two sushi rolls and a traditional steak dinner. Salad for the dinner was not dressed, it was just lettuce in a cup. I called to ask if they were supposed to add dressing or if I was supposed to ask... they said they were supposed to add it, couldn't do anything for me except give it to me if I drove all the way back. Miso soup was cold and our sushi rolls were warm which makes no sense because we picked it up right when it was ready. I got the drunken cousin roll and it was sour, we're not sure if it went bad, didn't want to risk it and tossed it. All in all, 1/5 stars. Food quality was poor, a waste of money.
