The owner is one of the most respectful men i have every met. The restaurant is 100% Thai made from Thais themselves. the food was fantastic and the experience was great. The pad Thai was not stuck together and was made fresh. The beef pad Thai is my choice of recommendation. I would also go with a egg roll appetizer. I will be having my business here with Thai gem. Thank you to the owner for the food and your warm welcome.

I ordered via Grub hub. There was no option to add rice with the Panang curry, and therefore I thought it would come with rice…it was a La cart. Difficult to eat without rice in a hotel. More of a soup. The Larb salad had depth of flavor but not enough lime sauce, and the cabbage leaves were difficult to eat. The flavors were good.

Absolutely BEST THAI food in Central California. Owner is from Thailand and cooks authentic Thai food with 100% fresh vegetables. The chicken basil with sticky rice is my all time favorite!! I have been a solid patron since 2008 and have never had a bad meal !!
I placed an online order through their website. When I went to pick up the order I was told it was never received. Turns out they use a third party company to submit their orders. Per the owner he hadn't checked his emails to see if there were online orders and he was "too busy" to answer the phone in case they called with my order confirmation. I asked for a refund to which he told I would have to contact the third party company for the refund. When I was on the phone trying to get some help, the owner finally checked online and sure enough my order was there. However the owner decided he did not want to make my food for me.I ended up leaving without a refund and my food. Now I will have to dispute the charge with my credit card company for the $50 I paid for the food I never received. I don't know how customers are supposed to place their orders if the owner himself doesn't look online to make sure orders weren't submitted and they don't answer the phone. I would suggest you go somewhere else for Thai food. There are better places where you will be treated better by the owner.

This Thai food is excellent and made to order!!! Fresh every time. I've never had Pad Thai that was fresh! I always thought Pad Thai noodles stuck together, but they don't if the noodles are freshly made? This is my new go to Thai restaurant. The food tastes so good too!!!
The food is good. That is reason enough to stop here. They make the vegetables very tasty which is coming from a guy that is so so with veggies. This is a place better suited for take out but there is seating for about 20 people. I ordered the #5 special with peanut sauce veggies and extra spicy red Currie beef. Good combo since the peanut sauce needs the spicy heat. My Son had the orange chicken which was below average (can’t really beat the famous place). 2nd visit to this no frills place and will be back.

Best Asian food in California so far. The owner prepares every item from scratch for the past 40 years. Ask him. He and his food are "Gem's" without a doubt. Thank you for caring about the food you feed your customers. Most don't anymore.

If you love Thai cuisine and looking for a casual, fast and easy place to get some, head over to Thai Gem. We had good Thai food that's wasn't unreasonably priced. We didn't have to wait for ages for the food and there was no loud music or anything else that prevented us from enjoying what we ordered. The place looks clean and there were plenty of take away orders being collected/sent out. However, for someone who has lived in Thailand for more than a decade, I just didn't taste the authenticity of the food. It wasn't bad at all, it was alright but just not as Thai as I expected it to taste.

Greeted by owner who we had a very friendly conversation with us, he said they have been here 41 years and they make there food fresh to serve! The owner walked around a greeted each table, while taking the orders and also bring the food to the table. Fast service we ordered and had our food within 15 minutes at the table!Best peanut sauce I have ever tasted! We had chicken Pad Thai, sticky rice and a combo plate of garlic chicken with mixed vegetables and rice with a side of peanut sauce. I read reviews about the peanut sauce and wanted to try what the reviews were about. Well worth the small side, very fresh and tasted sooo yummy!! The pad Thai was good and my daughter says she is a pad Thai connoisseur. The garlic chicken was yummy and just the right amount of flavor. The mixed vegetables were delicious with a good flavor but not drenched or over powerful. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh! Highly recommend this place! Serving size was perfect!! Best part was we had dinner for two with a grand total of $28!!! Haven't had that in quite a while! The owner was awesome and very talkative!
