The first time we went to an 88 Bao Bao was the one in Dublin, and we remembered really liking the restaurant so we were super excited to find one opened in Concord too! So many things look good on the menu - we went with the pork xlb, pork pan fried buns, and boiled pork and cabbage dumplings. Everything was delicious but be aware that the flavors of their xlb do differ from places like din tai fung. The pork flavor in all the dumplings and buns was strong so you'll love it if you like pork. We would love to come back and try out the noodles in the future! They're quick with their service and you order and pay up front before they bring the food to you.

Came on a Sunday around 2pm with a party of 6. Waited about 10 minutes before being seated. Overall the food is great and I would recommend. Wontons in chili oil - These came out first and definitely set the tone for how the food would taste here. I was so pleasantly impressed! Very delicious Leek & Pork boiled dumplings- light and delicious. Added some of the extra chili from our wontons on these. Very good. Garlic green beans - standard but tasty Xiao long bao- none of the skin broke and great flavor for these! Beef roll - one of my favorites. Would 100% order again. Very tasty Pan fried dumplings- delicious and would order again. Cucumber salad- Refreshing appetizer. Our whole table was "Mmm"-ing in agreement about this plate Sesame balls - these came out nice and hot. Thoroughly enjoyed these red bean treats Con's: 1. Getting our own water in plastic cups. I'm sorry but when I come to a restaurant to sit, I feel like at minimum a pitcher of water could be provided for the table. 2. Although it was only $1, ordering green tea and it coming in a Trader Joe's tea bag felt...tacky. I understand it's a family owned restaurant (and maybe I need to adjust my expectations) but I was hoping for better quality tea at a Chinese restaurant 3. There aren't many vegetable options. Granted, this is a dumpling house but a choice of bok choy or greens would've been nice. 4. You pay before eating. Our table completed our order, but wanted the sesame balls so had to create and close a new order. Also, when it comes to tipping, this structure makes it challenging to fairly award staff service

Wonderful staff and better than average food. Order at the counter and they bring the food out to your table. Open kitchen that you can observe your dish being prepared. Bao, fried rice, and noodles are great. String beans tends to be stringy. Would recommend for a decent family meal at reasonable prices.

Good food. Easy to place an order either by phone or their website. The staff are always friendly and courteous . We've placed an order here a handful of times, food never disappoints

This place is a hidden gem. It has delicious food at an affordable price, and the service is spectacular. I recommend the wontons in chilli oil.

I have REALLY been looking forward to trying this place out since I noticed it a few months ago. My husband and I finally got the opportunity to go. First, I love their style with the menus and the papers where you mark the quantity of the food and drinks that you want. Secondly, the lumpia at this place is the absolute best I have ever had in my life. The Xiao long Bao was very pretty looking, had nice meat inside and the soup included was an excellent amount. The tempura shrimp were a good size in my opinion. The pork buns were okay, although I made a mistake and didn't order the ones I had really wanted (the BBQ pork buns). Thirdly, I was too cold inside so we sat outside, but it was lovely. No music or loud noises which allowed my husband and I to have a nice conversation while sharing the food. The staff there were incredibly kind, helpful, and happy to serve us. The price is good for everything we got. I definitely suggest this place!!

I love their pork xiao long bao and won ton soup! The staff is always so nice. The only thing is I wish the space was a bit bigger but given the location, it's understandable.

This place is soooo good! Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was crowded but was seated quickly. Definitely get the xiao long bao!

Ordered the pan fried bao and it's outstanding!! Best pan fried bao I've ever had lol. So fluffy and light on top, crispy fried (not hard!) bottom, and the meat inside was soft with so much soup inside. Even my little baby loved it so much he kept clawing my hand for more. It's located just few stores down from Trader Joe's I will for sure come here to have their food after grocery shopping Service was great/efficient! Very friendly staff. So glad we have these new yummy restaurant so close by!

There are definitely some good dishes here, but I think because the XLBs didn't do it for me, I have to rate this a 3. The crab XLB had no crab taste because the crab meat was sitting on top and it wasn't incorporated into the meat. The soups in the XLB also had like a vinegar taste. The soy sauce that we pour ourselves into the ginger was way too sour with vinegar. It almost had no soy sauce mixed in. The beef noodle soup was really good though. Soup had a lot of flavor and I enjoyed the hint of sweetness in it. Rice noodles were pretty good too. The cucumbers would have been good but they didn't add garlic and garlic is a must for that dish. The pieces were also too big. Squid was pretty standard as you get anywhere else.

I ordered takeout online from here but was highly disappointed with the quality of the items I ordered-it all tasted and looked like dim sum from the frozen aisle. The buns were cold almost frozen still inside. Maybe the quality is a bit better if you dine in.

This tiny restaurant has a ton of flavor packed in it. Love the variety of dim sum options. Staff is quick on their feet if you need anything. You order at the front and they bring all the food to your table. It's brightly lit and great for a quick date night or take out.

Freshly made dumplings, great service, and overall, a great new addition in this area! Similar to Dim Tai Fung without the 2-3 hour wait times--would definitely recommend the black steamed sesame buns!

Love this place, great dim sum and the food is made as you are ordering. There is even a window to the kitchen where you can see all the magic being made. Portions are generous and they are very quick to serve the food once it is prepared. A great spot in Concord for quality dim sum!
