A close friend wanted to meet here for dinner and said they loved the place. When I first arrived at the unassumg location in a stripall by a 7-11, my expectations were mixed. The restaurant is very clean looking, with basic furnishing and decor you might see in a typical cafe. This is where is was surprised. The staff were so friendly and accommodating that it felt almost like being invited to someone's he for a holiday celebration. We were greeted immediately upon entering and offered seating. We were brought water without asking and were offered help with explanations of the menu which had beautiful photos of the dishes. I ordered some of the best kebobs I've had in my life. Other members had lamb dishes, naan bread, sides and specially made drinks. We all ended up sharing from each other's dishes as we were saying 'you have to try this! "Even though this restaurant is a long drive from home, I plan to return here at least a few times a year as a special treat. Love it!Parking: Nose in parking. shared lot with other businesses.

Good stuff! The star rating is purely for the type and grade of restaurant this is.As we’ve always had this place on the raider being its neighbor, we finally made it here and met the owner.Service was pleasant, and we received enough attention throughout the meal course. Great, open seating with the view on the Monument Boulevard, that was bright and comfortable. The outstanding Afghani food, and even better the desserts with saffron tea made this experience complete throughout. Would highly recommend Narunj Palow with thinly sliced dates.Turned out to be a little bit pricier than I thought it would be for a lunch, however, it really did worth it.

We ordered a large amount of food for an event nearby. They were super helpful when I was unsure what to order. The whole process was so smooth and everyone raved about the food! (I was too busy to eat and then when I remembered it was gone!) we will definitely use them again and meanwhile, I plan to go eat there!

Food is delicious, place is clean and neat. Mohammad and Ali was very welcoming and friendly, next time I’ll be here I’ll try the qabali I heard from customer that it was also good. To all my Filipino fellas out there this restaurant is a must try.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Our love for ethnic Middle Eastern cuisine led us to discover this gem of a restaurant, and it has truly become our absolute favorite. Having explored many Middle Eastern establishments, this Afghan restaurant stands out as the best, not only in the Bay Area but across Northern California and beyond. The food is exceptional, consistently surpassing our expectations. The flavors are authentic, and the quality is unmatched. The service is equally impressive — the owners go above and beyond, embodying the true spirit of Afghani hospitality. Their warmth and attentiveness make every visit memorable.Even after relocating to the Sacramento area, our loyalty remains. Whenever we find ourselves back in the Bay Area for business, we make it a point to stop by, sometimes going out of our way to savor the dishes we came to love there. The freshness of the ingredients and the tenderness of the meat never fail to impress. Our only wish? That they would consider opening a branch closer to Sacramento so we could indulge in their delicious menu every day, rather than just on special occasions. Kudos to the entire team for consistently delivering a dining experience that keeps us coming back for more!Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates exquisite Afghan cuisine and unparalleled hospitality.
