Very rude towards people with service dogs.I know they have the right to ask if it is a service animal and what they are trained for.But they make you feel not wanted. They are very loud when they ask you in front of other customers. This is the first time anyone has ask me and yes my dog had her service vest on.I think I will avoid this place in the future.

I used to own my own award winning bakery, which means I can't stand 99% of the cake I try at parties over the years. But this time, I was in charge of the party and didn't have time to bake. I tried Alpine Pastry and WOW! I've finally found cakes and frosting that meet my approval. I also tried the French Macaron's and they reminded me of Paris.

I had my first experience with Alpine but it will not be my last. I needed a tiramisu to bring to a celebration so I called Alpine to order it. First off, it was gorgeous and they wrote the message I wanted on a beautiful, decorative sheet of chocolate on the cake. It was absolutely delicious. Everyone at the event loved it. As a person who LOVES sweets, I couldn't get out of there without trying something and I love Linzer torte. Alpine has Linzer torte cookies. I got 2, 1 raspberry and 1 apricot, for our anniversary that night. They were incredibly delicious-flaky and crumbly and nutty and jammy and perfect. The person who took my order on the phone was lovely, and the person who served me at the bakery was also lovely. I highly recommend Alpine Pastry, and will return.

We absolutely LOVE Alpine! We have trusted them with all of our Special Occasions since 1990! Their daily over the counter pastries are all amazing! Highly recommend them!!

I feel like I got the old bait and switch. I love their Salted Carmel cake. When I ordered a small cake it was fine but for my birthday I ordered their large cake and without telling me they made it with Chocolate Cake. IT WAS NASTY. About 1/3 of the people threw it away you could only taste the Carmel if you licked off the icing. When I complained at the store I was told the Manager would call. She must be a flake because she didn't. I waited until almost closing and called in. SHE REFUSED MY CALL and the toady who screaned my call hung up on my.

Since we moved to Concord a year and a half ago we discovered the Alpine Bakery. We lovED it. Friendly people, delicious deserts and a nice place to go. I especially like their Salted Carmel cake and ordered it for my birthday. It was NOT THE SAME. For some reason they made it with Chocolate cake...you could hardly taste the Carmel. Nearly 1/3 of my guests threw it away. When I complained I was told the "manager would call me Monday" Well apparently she's a flake...no call and refused my call when I called there just before closing.

The finest baker in Town! So welcoming, attentive, got so much choices to pick, and the creativity, taste, value of money are great for the deal. Must must visit this place. The chocolate cake are just killer !

Not very impressed nor satisfied. The Princess cake is supposed to be filled with a whipped cream dome, not a thin layer of buttercream. The almond green layer was very thick and heavy. The beautiful raspberry layer is ruined because the cake was rolled instead of layered. This resulted in no distinct layers and I couldn't enjoy it properly. The cake itself was also mediocre, tasted like a store bought roll cake. The texture was very spongy instead of light and fluffy.

How can this place not have a 5 Star Rating? From the moment you walk in you feel like you stepped into a Bakery from back in the day. Every thing they have there is out of this world. Everything from the Cakes to the Cookies and Pastries are too die for! You do not want to miss out on this little slice of Heaven. You will not be disappointed.

You would think for the amount of money you charge for a cake you could at least get what the customer asked for. Your bakery on service is Horrible. I know good people are hard to staff but gosh yours can't even get the colors your customer asked correct on the cake. I have given your businessfor well over 30 years. After this last cake I am done.

The good: The pastries are delicious, decadent, and fairly priced. The not-so-good: The customer service is often forceful, stubborn, and outright rude. Longer version: I've been a loyal patron of Alpine for close to 20 years. This is where my younger son purchase pies for their wedding. I've been buying pastries consistently for dinner parties, business events, birthdays, etc. for a VERY long time, from the days at their previous location. The pastries have ALWAYS been the star of the show, and the value has ALWAYS been there (especially compared to really pricey joint like Butter & Crumble in San Francisco). But over the last 2 years (now at the downtown Concord location), customer service has become, depending upon who serves you and their inexplicable mood, dictatorial, cursory, presumptive and cold. They have treated us poorly on the phone and in person. I have seen them lock paid customers out for arrive seconds after their closing time. They have lost our order, never apologized, and really dug their heels in with us. I'm not sure why. We've tried to be kind and gracious, and never been that kind of demanding customer that we often see these days. I sometimes get the sense that some of the staff are just burnt out. And perhaps the badly-behaved customers have ruined the experience for all of the rest of us. But as someone who has loved (and recommended to others) Alpine to family and friends alike, I might suggest to ownership that they spend the time to take a good hard look at how their staff is treating customers. Something has changed here, and not for the better. I sincerely hope that changes can be made.

It was my first time here and I was so excited upon walk in seeing the assortment of cakes and cookies. It all turned around when I told the lady I'm looking for a cake for my son's 7th birthday and if we could sample a cake. She snapped back, "No, these are the only slices we sell." No suggestions, no follow up advice, nothing. She just acted like our party of 4 was getting in the way of the customers behind us. 0/5 stars. Find some happier workers please.
