Englund's catered my wedding and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else. The food was delicious but also working with Derry was a complete joy. He makes things so easy for the bride and groom and you can tell he loves what he does. I didn't know that having a kind caterer was so important but it made all the difference. Derry catered our wedding and can I say, Derry is one of our favorite vendors that we worked with for our wedding of all time. I can't rave about him enough. Derry is the Abraham Lincoln of catering - honest, transparent, ethical, and an absolute gem to work with. It was really refreshing and stress-free to work with him. Other caterers gouge you with insane deposits and hidden fees - not Derry. What he says is the price is the actual final price. Throughout the process I saw him treat both his staff and his customers well and fairly. His team is always professional and a delight. We had to switch wedding dates and with Derry it was so easy and fuss-free. I was blown away by how he operates his business. Also, his food is delicious, quality, and affordable! It's like the In-N-Out of catering in the best way - they only do one thing, but they knock it out of the park. They won't make you a custom menu with Asian influences but their meat will always be quality, the food will be tasty, your guests will compliment the food and go back for seconds. I am very picky with food. Usually at weddings the steak is tough and the chicken is dry or bland, but Derry's tri-tip and their chicken is shockingly tasty, tender/moist, and done to perfection. Their scalloped potatoes and everything else was delicious. I've also had a lot of wedding food and frankly Derry's has been the best. I would recommend Derry to anyone in a heartbeat. Thank you to Derry and team for making our wedding so special! Can't thank you enough!

Whatever your event, Derry and his team at Englund's Catering are the right choice! What an exceptional team to work with! Derry and his crew catered our wedding of 140+ people and everything went off without a hitch. From start to finish, Derry was accommodating and supportive of our needs. He answered all of our questions and was incredibly available for follow ups or conversations in the two weeks leading up to the event. The tasting - which we did months in advance - was classy and an experience in and of itself. Everything from the place settings to the table covers was clean, well-done, and impressive. And the food is DELICIOUS! We received multiple compliments during and after the reception on the quality of the food. Highly highly recommend the beef wellington appetizers. And the salmon - something I'd usually shy away from when it comes to large-scale buffet-style catering - was one of the night's biggest hits and a personal favorite of mine and my wife's. Derry and his staff are passionate and genuinely care about their clients and their events. It was great having someone as involved and invested in our event as Derry was.

The hubs and I went to a catered event at Rossmoor last night. Englund's was the caterer. The food was delicious! Th pictures are our half eaten plates because as we were devouring the yummy food, I realized that the caterers must have a website. At the event they had rolls (skipped), Caesar salad (delicious), scalloped potatoes (so good!), green beans with almonds (the best), salmon with a seasoning on top that was so good and tri-tip which the hubs said was really good. I think this is a place that is worth the price!

Derry is the man!! My husband and I hired Derry and his team to cater our wedding of 150 guests few weeks ago and his service and food was beyond what we expected. It's always a cherry on top to be able to hire wedding vendors where you feel they are genuine . Derry was exactly that. Everything he said he'd be able to do, within our price range, he did. No hidden prices or fees, he's straightforward with everything. On top of that. His food was amazing! We had the tri tip, chicken, creamed corn, red potatoe mashed potatoes and a mango salad. BOMB. We loved it and the guests loved it. No need to look any further, hire Englund's catering.

Had Englund's Catering for our Celebration of Life for my Mom last Saturday and couldn't have been more pleased. Derry was great to work with and very accommodating. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. Bonus was we had more than enough food to have dinner for our out of town guests the next day.
Unfortunately Englunds didn't survive the pandemic. Understand your catering is still operational! Glad to hear that...you were the "BEST" lunch going, and you'll surely be missed!!!

I own a small shop in town. Employees from their establishment visited my store. I asked them to wear a mask they refused. The replied: we’ll just walk away with the product. They did. I went to go see which car and license plate they had, it was from this establishment. Employee hurled racial and homophobic comments out at me and told me he’d break my bones. Not only did he steal he became pompous. Do not visit this place or get catering from them. Unacceptable behavior for catering staff to not follow social distancing guidelines from contra costa health agency.
