This is by far the BEST breakfast place in town... and has been for what... 42 years now? That is crazy. Still family owned, even the cooks have been there for decades. The staff is friendly and helpful, and once you figure out which line to order in, you grab a seat enjoy the coffee. I like to sit outside when the weather is nice. I usually get the Richards' special with eggs over medium, fruit (no meat), and the whole grain pancakes. YUM! It comes with warm berry compote too. No matter what I order, I feel good before, during, AND after. That is a huge win in my book because most places just serve crap with sugar all over it to hide the mess. This place serves real food and you can tell. It's delicious and most of it is good for you!

This place is tucked behind the Clarion Hotel in Concord. It's a little difficult to find if you have never been before. When you go up to the door, you ring the bell to pick up your order. You see people standing around and it's not really clear what is happening. But fear not, someone comes out to call out the names on the orders.I am a huge fan of Sunrise Bistro, whether at the restaurant in Walnut Creek or for catering. And this Express version of SB did not disappoint. I ordered the Veggie Breakfast Burrito but added bacon. My BF ordered the Bistro Pancakes with the Compote and a side of Roasted Veggies. Everything was delicious! I'm happy to have this little gem closer to home.

Loved our burritos! The oj was perfect. The cinnamon rolls were fresh with the good gooey center. If they add butter to the mix these cinnamon rolls would take center stage. Would definitely go again!

Their bacon and egg breakfast sandwiches with lettuce, tomato and avocado are delicious, and I LOVE that you can get a side order of veggies or beans instead of the standard potatoes. The pancakes were a little disappointing, not as light and fluffy as I would like. But I've ordered their breakfast sandwiches a number of times, and they never disappoint!

The best part of going into the office is picking up my breakfast at Sunrise Bistro Express. The food is always hot fresh and absolutely delicious. I always use the app to order. The crew always has a smile and my order is always ready on time (most often it's ready early) I have never had to wait longer than the app states. The crew ALWAYS packs my order with care including everything needed to enjoy my breakfast with all the accoutrements packed in a tidy little bag. All of the great flavors of their sit down spot in Walnut Creek but in great easy take out options! On my way out for a walk I chose to order ahead on their app so I could get out the door quicker. Listen up, because I have cracked the code to order the best breakfast burrito. You want to get it on a flour tortilla with bacon and add avocado and onions. This combo with the salsa that comes with the burrito is the best way you can enjoy one! Trust me. I love that the avocado is nice big chunks throughout! The bacon was thick and everything was spread evenly throughout the burrito. So each bite was perfection!I also got a cinnamon roll on the side which I saved for a treat after my walk. Warm it up a little and wow is this a good cinnamon roll! The icing melts over the roll nicely and the inside gets that ooey gooey texture you look for.

In all honesty, this is easily one of my favorite breakfast places in the Concord, maybe even in the whole bay. While the breakfast burrito is my favorite (wrapped or in a bowl), there's so much more on this menu that you can't pass up on. I was never the biggest fan of breakfast sandwiches that includes biscuits because 8/10 times the biscuit is dry, but not in this case. Their biscuits are large, buttery, lightly sweet, and moist I was honestly really shocked at how much I enjoyed it because it didn't make sense to me. The service when delivering is fast and friendly and the staff is incredibly kind if you have any questions or need help with your order. They really took the term "express" literally here because the food arrives hot every single time. I honestly am a bit obsessed with Sunrise Bistro, but having to cut out the entirety of the restaurant without cutting the quality of the food is very impressive to me. Both the sit in and the delivery restaurant are top notch here in the east bay, for me this is a no brainer breakfast spot!
