Excellent food in the buffet. Good variety in veg and non-veg. Everything was tasty. Loved the food quality. Ambiance is also very nice. Service was Ok but food was amazing. Will visit again.

One day a prince disguised as a pauper from far away walked into a humble roadside restaurant. He was greeted kindly and given a window seat. The owner, swiped his hand in the air and said, 'You must be tired and very hungry.' The prince nodded yes. The owner open his arms and gestured, 'For you, eat all you see and enjoy our Indian dishes made with love.' The prince smiled, and ate four plates stacked high with deliciousness. The prince rose up, to reveal he was the prince of Yelp. He smiled broadly and cheered, 'This is a magically place of food wonder and adventure. I bestow this as the best Indian Buffet of thee land of Bay Area!!!'

Tried Swagat based on the recommendation of some locals. We were not disappointed.Butter Chicken 10/10 (has been recently improved [from good to great] and this alone keeps me coming back!)Chicken Tandoori 10/10Chicken Tikka Masala 8/10Naan, roti, jaljeera, dahi bhalla and chai were "ok."Gajrela was disappointing (jack cheese...?)The ambiance was quite nice.The service was pleasant & welcoming.We're excited to come back for the lunch buffet! Another stop on my Indian buffet journey! I enjoyed the selection here as they had dishes I have not tried before such as a lychee halwa, eggplant curry, and aloo tiki which was delicious!! I would definitely come back although it is a bit more out of the way from Oakland. I admire the staff for handling a busy lunch crowd and still checking in to make sure everything was stocked. I would have still preferred if the food was more spiced and spicier. Overall, I would definitely come back for the wide selection and desserts!

We had an early dinner so the place was quiet. The mango olive salad was delicious. The Khata Metha Baigen (baby eggplant) was superb. The presentation was extraordinary with edible flowers and garnish. The timing of appetizers, salad and entree was impeccable.
We just came for some chai. The place was fairly empty they said chai is to go only so we could not sit down and enjoy it. I can understand if the place is full or a line out the door but empty place?As for the chai, it was cold and watered down. I did not eat there, but something as simple as Chai and the bad service I can't expect much from the food.

Buffet would have probably been decent if there was actually chicken & other hot dishes, but they were empty! At $20 apiece, all we got was rice & sometimes naan served on the table. Charged an additional 3 1/2 % for using a credit card. Total rip-off! Definitely won't be back!
