I really loved sweet honey until it closed and turned into Big Bang. Great Chinese deserts and very refreshing. They had a lot of "not available" snacks and drinks but that was okay. Very devastated that it's gone now :(

RIP Concord Sweet Honey. You took forever and a day to finally open, then you opened... In the middle of a pandemic. Can't blame the owner for giving up on it, but their entire existence was open during the pandemic. I loved Sweet Honey when I lived in Daly City, and was excited when I saw one opening down the street. But super apart from a few Uber eats orders, I never got to actually visit here. Shame.

I!! Love!! This!! Place!!! I enjoy all of their Chinese desserts -- they're extremely good. I especially liked the drinks. It's really too bad that they closed down, I hope they reopen somewhere close.

My overall rating for this place is 3.5 stars. Definitely not 5 stars, not quite 4, but better than 3. The place is called Sweethoney Dessert, yet where they shined for me was their snack options over their dessert drinks. What we ordered: Drinks: - 1 Matcha Red Bean with Sago, 25% sugar (no boba here which is surprising to me. Just tiny sago balls) - 1 coconut juice with sago and & grass jelly, 25% sugar (really coconut milk not juice. Should be corrected) - 1 Passion Fruit green tea, 25% (menu doesn't show that it comes with sago but it does. Confusing menu) Snacks: - 1 Thai Curry Fish Balls - 1 Takoyaki (qty 6) - 1 Japanese Style Shumai (qty 6) - 1 popcorn chicken ----------------------- - 1 Matcha Red Bean with Sago, 25% sugar - good but nothing special. Matcha is strong with less sugar but that's a good thing. Not happy with the lack of boba at this place. Sago is underwhelming to me. - 1 coconut juice with sago and & grass jelly, 25% sugar - as stated above, it should be called coconut milk not juice. Distinct difference. Coconut milk is the milk from the white inner part of the coconut, while the juice is the juice. It tasted like I drank coconut milk, with sago and grass jelly. I would pay $3.50 tops for this, not $5.75. Robbery. - 1 Passion Fruit green tea, 25% - as previously stated, doesn't show that it comes with sago but it does. I asked what's the best drink to get on the menu in the cashier's opinion, and she said get the passion fruit green tea. I'm not sure if it's how not great the first two were that made this really good in comparison, but this was hands down my favorite drink there. I'd definitely get this again. - 1 Thai Curry Fish Balls - really flavorful. The Thai curry is actually really good. It just needs an addition small side of rice to eat the remaining curry with and it'd be perfect. Can charge $2 for a cup of rice, I'd pay for it to eat with this curry. - 1 Takoyaki (qty 6) - good flavor but the consistency was softer than it should be. Note that my comparison is to takoyaki in Japan so my standards are pretty high. Would personally not get this again from here. - 1 Japanese Style Shumai (qty 6) - best snack here in my opinion. I'm used to the shumai that you get at dim sum places and at buffets, so this was a nice surprise. Nice crisp on the outside and chewiness on the inside, with a nice balance of meatiness. I can't really describe it other than it tasting really good. Would get again no hesitation. - 1 popcorn chicken - nothing special but a solid snack option, and they give you quite a bit for $7.50. I mean a fair amount. Way more than shown on the menu picture. I would get this again if feeding multiple people and want a filler option. They give you sweet and sour sauce but I feel like it needs some sort of special sauce instead--I'm just not sure what that is. Overall, 3.5 stars, rounding up to 4. Would go back again, but only for the shumai and passion fruit green tea for the repeat items, and maybe I'll try a few other items to see what else is good. I wouldn't go out of my way for this place, but if I'm in the area I'll stop by and try more.

What a waste of time & money...the drink was not cold, there's one small piece of pomelo on top no mango chunks...probably a powdered drink.they don't deserve anyone's business never again. The poorest quality mango sago pomelo (bad advertising such a scam rip-off) for 8.95 in the Bay Area...don't go here, you'll be disappointed

I love the desserts here! They're like nothing I've experienced before she that adds a level of fun I don't usually get with dessert!

Hands down an awesome dessert experience. Favorable cups of yumminess to end the day with. Place does need a little tidying up. Boxes of mangoes in the dining area and other miscellaneous items takes away from the ambiance. Will come back eventually and try the other flavors!

Got a mango sea salt caramel drink, super tasty!

Mango pomelo sago vanilla ice-cream for $6. Can’t see any pomelo and 2 pieces of mango even with boxes of mangoes around. Disappointed and unsatisfied. Would recommend to go to a different place instead. Kiwi ice was good. Matcha smoothie tasted like milk only- no flavor.

The jasmine salted crema is a bomb! I’ve been looking for a drink with the right balance of sweetness and the true flavor of the tea and ai found it here. The service is nice and the staff are friendly. I can tell they try to make your experience as best as possible.

Stopped by this afternoon for a dessert fix. I found on their menu that they offer a number of sago desserts. Sago is similar to tapioca pearls but much tinier and more pleasant (in my opinion). I found their location on Yelp and decided to stop by rather than back track into Concord for another spot. The location is in the same lot as Dunkin' donuts. The location has signage that guests should wear masks indoors so be prepared to bring one. The indoors are well kept and clean. I was there at a non-peak hour as I was the only person inside. The printed menu at the counter had a number of items with post-it's over it that read "not available". This was really found in the first few pages of their printed menu at the register. The website allows for ordering so try to pre-order if you can. I ordered two Taro coconut milk teas with sago and one papaya with sago dessert. They used fresh taro which i liked. They have an equivalent with the purple powder taro that is often more popular. Both were served cool and refreshing for the warm afternoon. I'll chalk up the limited menu to a recovering post-pandemic environment. The staff present was a friendly gal and she also fulfilled the order. This is closer to me than the downtown options so would be open to returning and trying more things on the menu.

The staff was nice but the drinks were okay-ish. The fruit tea was super good but the matcha milk tea was not it as well as the peach gum

We were in Concord and I wanted some pie. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find good dessert restaurants. In an emergency, one can always get pie from Nations but I want something like the Triple Coconut Cream Pie from Dahlia Bakery in Seattle or any dessert item from Porto Bakery in Southern California. Our friends who had recently moved to Concord suggested Sweethoney Dessert. Okay, I'm game. It won't be pie but it'll be something different for me. I've never gone to a Taiwanese Dessert place before because I'm not familiar with the flavors and textures. Fortunately, our friends were. We perused the menu and asked the order taker to help describe the items in detail. We ended up ordering the two items shown in the pictures below. I lost track of what our friends ordered to share. Service was adequate but not stand out. Although we sat inside at a four top while we waited for our order, once it was ready, we were told that we couldn't sit and eat inside. We went outside and chatted for a bit but the wind picked up and with ice cold items, it was freezing cold so we left. Total cost of three items with tax and tip was about $30. What we had was good but I still would prefer pie.

the only thing better than the service was the delicious food ?

Clean and has a lot of variety. Lines are long bc they never have enough cashiers working.
