Definitely worth checking out. I am am so happy to have discovered this place. This is true Thai, not the fast food version that most people are accustomed to. I lOVE Thai food. But I have gotten spoiled eating at Farmhouse Thai in the city, which is high end, expensive and an "experience " not just a meal. Everything else Thai seems poor in comparison. But after visiting Yum Squared half a dozen times already, I can honestly say that this place is amazing. Not quite the experience of Farmhouse, but certainly a bright spot for East Bay!!! I would give Yum Squared an A minus, whereas usual fast food Thai places in the area are around a C minus, or lower. Yes I am tough when it comes to my favorite food, Thai. This place is worth checking out. They have new ownership as of this summer, so if you've been here before, everything is completely different now. Yum Squared is a little gem in the middle of Todos Santos. Plus they have intuitive and efficient contactless ordering and payment processing. I also want to add that their staff is very nice and attentive.

Very bad experience!!! I am a regular DoorDash customer who orders food from this place quite frequently. I had a bad experience in the past as well but only because I love Thai food I ended up going here. This last visit was pathetic!!! They didn’t even care to ask what’s up with my order. I’ve been waiting patiently for almost 30mins and none of the staff even cared. HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO GO HERE. Especially if you order through DoorDash.

I ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and as I ate it I bit down on something rock hard. At first fear struck my heart that I might have chipped a tooth; luckily my teeth were okay, but I removed a piece of something rocky and from my mouth. I had half a mind to drive back to the restaurant to complain but was so hungry so I just continued eating. However, to my dismay this happened again not twice, not three times, but seven times. There were SEVEN pieces of some rocky disgusting substance in my food. I can't understand why this place is rated number one on Yelp under searches for Thai in Concord. I'm guessing it's because it's located in a trendy spot, but rocks in your food are NOT trendy. I'll never eat here again. Update: I was on the toilet three times with an upset stomach within 24 hours of eating here. I stood around for several minutes waiting for someone to help with my order when I arrived. There was no egg in my dish and the noodles had fused together into a monolithic block that required a great deal of effort to break apart.

I ordered a Pad Thai $14 with extra sauce and steamed pot stickers $10 with hot sauce. They made me waited 45' and completely ignored me. I had to keep coming back asking for my food (they weren’t even busy!) I asked 2 employees about my order, one of them simply ignored me.When I received it, there was no sauce for the pot stickers, no hot sauce, no utensils, no napkins, no extra sauce for Pad Thai. It's $14 but they gave me 5 pieces of pork! Not to mention that the Pad Thai is extremely salty that I couldn't eat even though I was very hungry. It doesn't taste like Pad Thai at all.I called the restaurant and told them about the issues. They said "oh sorry" then left me hanging for a good 15'. I called back 5 times but I couldn't get through because they didn't dare to pick up the phone!!Updates: the food was even contaminated! I had really bad stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhea on that same evening and the morning after!

I LOOOVVVEEEE their Thai food!!!!! I literally pass about 4 or 5 Thai restaurants to come here. O I'll would definitely go the extra 10 miles to come here. If I could get Thai food everyday I would! I love that their crab meat is real and not imitation crab.

Really good. Ordered Uber eats. Was hot and delicious. I had the green curry, wife the yellow. Both were excellent. Can't wait to order again and try some of their other items.

Since my normal Thai spot is closed on Monday and Tuesday I decided to give Yum Squared a shot. I called in my order a little after 11am ordering the Roti, Chicken Satay and Pad Kee Mao. They called me back after a few minutes after I placed my order to inform me that they were out of the Chicken Satay. This is a Thai staple which I thought was odd. First red flag. The roti was so oily and greasy that it was soggy. The yellow curry that you dip the roti in was watery and had a bunch of minced chicken in it. Red flag #2. Normally the yellow curry you dip doesn't have any meat in it. I guess they just scooped up some yellow curry from a pot. Hmm... The Pad Kee Mao only comes medium as when I asked for a higher level of spiciness when I placed the order they told me I could just add more to it. That should have been a red flag as well. When eating the Pad Kee Mao I found a small bone stuck to my sliced chicken piece. Red flag #3. The flavor was average. Unfortunately, 3 strikes and I'm out. I won't be back.

Let me preface this review that I hope the owners can turn things around someday.I'm quite new to the area so decided to visit a local spot. I noticed this place and it looked busy, we decided to check it out.Upon entering, we were seated and asked for 2 waters. I personally asked for 1 with lemon. There were 2 servers serving the entire restaurant. You could tell these guys were having a tough time as I didnt receive water for another 10 minutes (without the lemon I requested). Anyhow we decided on 2 dishes. I got the pad thai with pork (pictured below) and my partner got the fried chicken Fried rice. I was quite excited for it. So eventually the food comes but it is just 1 dish which I felt was awkward as usually all the dishes are brought together. My pad thai arrives and I was utterly disappointed. This wasn't pad thai, this didnt even have the flat noodles that characterize pad thai. This was a sloppy wet mess with barely any peanuts. Every ingredient was sloppily put together and it lacked flavor. I had 2 bites and I was done.My partner ordered the fried chicken fried rice which actually looked appetizing and it even came with sauces and a flower. I thought perhaps this was going to be good. Wrong again. The fried chicken was a bit chewy and was completely bland. The fried rice too had no flavor, not even salt flavor. I dipped it in the chilli sauce to give it a bit of flavor and tried eating a few bites. But I was pretty bummed out as both the service and the food were bad. Once again I hope they can turn things around as they seem like a family owned establishment.

I was looking forward to coming here but it seemed like they were out of everything I wanted to try. No Chang beer, ok no biggie. No chicken satay because there's no peanut sauce. Ok, wow. That's a big thing, but ok. No mango sticky rice. That did it. The Tom Yum soup I had was good and the fried pot stickers ok. Not enough to make up for what they were missing tho. No chicken satay, no mango sticky rice, that's a huge part of why I came in. I expect these standards to be ready to go. Not bad, but I won't come back. Too bad. I looked the environment and service.

The food here is delicious and so many of their menu items can be made gluten free, which I love! The staff was very responsive and made sure everything was just right. The food was prepared quickly and the staff answered any questions I had about my food allergies. I will definitely go back again!

Went here for dinner with my sister. It was pretty empty. For the fried tofu which isn't too flavorful but good with the sauce. The veggie rolls are good and delicious. The red curry had the right amount of spice but wish there were more veggies. Overall inside is okay decor wise. The bench was super uncomfortable to sit on.

We used to go to this place when it was in Brentwood but they moved to concord. First of all, the service was nice, very attentive waiter. Although, we ate an early lunch and were the only people there. We ordered the pumpkin curry with chicken- nice you can change spice level from 1-5. We chose 2 which was just right for my mother and I. The curry was yummy and we loved to r sauce. We got the pad thai which was tasty but the noodles were a little more soggy than I would've liked. We had fried tofu. Very different than what I've tried before. Instead of being deep fried, it was breaded. I enjoyed it though. I would definitely return and try their other curries and salads. Tip- sign up for their emails and you get 10% off your first meal.
