Really love the food here. The service is always really great and the people are so kind. Last time I went. I ordered veggie plate with cornbread greens, yams, and red beans and rice. Everything was on point delicious they didn't be stingy on the proportions and the flavor was just like grandma made it in the kitchen.

Hello Owner of Sunday Dinners, I have been craving soul food. So I Googled 'Soul Food Places' I have read quite a few reviews. I believe that I have to try it myself before I decide it isn't good. I grew up in Compton and there were many soul food restaurants. All were good... I will definitely have to come and try the food at your restaurant. Iam craving smothered pork chops, greens, corn bread, mac & cheese & yams. Everyone will definitely have there own opinions, but I want to give it a try and decide for myself not by what others are saying....hope to see you soon! Yuck, I sure hope we don't get sick. Where do I begin? While I love to patronize my peeps, after finally catching the establishment "open" it could've stayed closed. They actually sell koolaid while the cashier later sat in the room with us eating Popeye's. My hubby got the catfish lunch with featured one, yes one piece of fish that was not fully cooked. I got the meatloaf which was decent, but the greens ugh. Gnats landed on our table while we were eating. The floor was sticky and the tables were dirty. This is just a nasty place and we will not be returning. It's sad that cleanliness and customer service is non-existent. Instead of the owner taking feedback to improve her business, she responds with a smart and lame excuse. Word of advice “ don’t bother patronizing the know it all queen.”

This was our first time here. The service was professional the food was great. The mac n cheese was bomb as was the cabbage. The only issue was the dining room looked like an after thought it needed to be sweaped and better seating.

Absolutely delicious!!! I loved everything, but the mac and cheese is UNREAL. The woman behind the counter is an joy of a human and I can't wait to come back!!!

Please update your hours!! It's ridiculous that working people are driving all the way to your business only to see a piece of paper taped to the door saying you're only open on Saturday and Sunday!! Y'all done left a bad taste in my mouth and I never even got to try the food. DO BETTER!!

We are big supporters of family/local establishments and this was a perfect example of one. Their whole family was there helping and creating a welcoming environment. We ordered the fried chicken and catfish. There are a variety of side dishes you can choose from. We got the collard greens as well as mac and cheese. Your plate also comes with cornbread! We cannot wait to try the other items that they have on their menu.

Okay, Okay, Okay. I don't usually write a ton of reviews but .......I do know if you want to find God if your not in church he is in this kitchen! Let me tell you, me and my boy make the drive from the OC and people we met in line come from all over to get what ever she is cooking. God has truly blessed this chef. So what did I have? Oxtails, fried chicken-3 different kinds (regular, bourbon, and Cajun) . I had red beans and rice, sautéed cabbage, yams, Mac n cheese, greens, black eyed peas , lemon cake, peach cobbler, and kool-aid. There is no way I could eat it all because it was so much but that is how I'm celebrating this 3 day weekend. If you haven't been to this place you have to go once and you'll be hooked like I am. Praise God for this place. Just like grandmas home cooking.
