Many have enjoyed the pasta, pizza and salad at Buona Forchetta. My review is on their brunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. It’s not well known that they are offering one of the best brunches in Coronado. We had the Eggs Benedict and it was delicious with one of the best hollandaise sauces I’ve ever had. The homemade English muffin and all of the ingredients were top notch. The restaurant was empty on a Friday morning so I think it’s time that the word got out that just a short walk from Orange Avenue, there is an outstanding brunch with a varied innovative menu! We very much enjoyed it!

We ate here last night with friends and the 4 main entrees we chose were very disappointing -The Cacio Y Pepe sauce was extremely thin and tasteless, almost like a watered down broth. the lasagna bolognese was a lot of sauce and very little cheese and the gnocchi as well as the eggplant parmesan was bland. We have been to this restaurant in the past and had better meals so I'm not sure if something has changed..we will not be going back.

Delicious Italian Food! I'll be back... often. Great for large parties. Everything we ate was raved about! Great service! My new favorite plus you can walk around Coronado after! We had a reservation and were sat right away! Get the garlic bread to start! Bring a jacket it was a smidge drafty. Call ahead. Seriously good food! Parking is a bit sparse. Arrive early.

What a treat! We stumbled into the Garage BF while tracking down another restaurant, took a cursory look at the menu and we were in! As we were ushered through the market, I knew this place was special. (Just the olive section alone would make any Italian swoon.) Cocktails, brussels, wine, pasta, bruschetta & artichokes were absolute perfection! Service was also top notch!! So much, that we knew we had to cancel an existing reso for Saturday night (our 40th anniversary) and make this our date destination. We absolutely loved and appreciated everything tonight and cannot wait to experience it again on one of the most special dates of our lives.Vegetarian options: There are SO MANY options as vegetarians! We spent 4x more time looking at the menu than we normally do. If you get the brussels (without pancetta) as an appetizer, save the sauce for the artichokes you order for dinner. (Don't forget the $7 focaccia with added garlic that is the size of a pizza!) This is SUCH A GEM!

Great causal Italian restaurant with car theme. Pasta is great and pizzas looks delicious. Focaccia was like pizza. Service was good.

If you are on Coronado, you should not miss the Garage. Went there for dinner and made brunch reservations on the way out. Everything is fresh, authentic, and not over seasoned or salty. It's very clear why this is a local favorite. We will be back and plan to eat at least one meal a day here when we do!! Many thanks and see you soon.

Pizza - eh, ok. Risotto - tasty but overcooked Carbonara - I don't know what ingredient they put in it (definitely not guanciale), but consistency and taste resemble prosciutto cotto. Considering high reviews, surprisingly unpleasant.

We stayed in Gas Lamp district for 5 days having never been to San Diego before. We went to Roma Mia in Gas Lamp district and Barbusa in Little Italy, but we FINALLY found the best Italian restaurant it San Diego. The Chianti Classico is better than anywhere in California. I had the Margarita pizza and took me back to my 6 months studying abroad in Italy. My husband had the Ezio, which was a Brie stuffed calzone with prosciutto and arugula and Parmesan cheese on top. It was sooooooo good. The atmosphere was family style, the staff was fun and good tempered and allowed us to stay and play board games for an hour after we were done. It's an old mechanic shop turned restaurant, but it will be your best find for Italian food in San Diego. Worth the trip across the bridge to Coronado from San Diego. I will be back in October!

We decided to head out to our favorite restaurant because we figured out it was our over 150th time here at this location since on first date here in 2021. Although we have been here over 150 times my fiancé and I are still not considered regulars here. Service has been declining. Disappointing to see being that the food is incredible since the first time.
