Nice atmosphere. Service was great from the host to the waiter and additional staff. Food was great. It was very cold outside with the wind from the beach so I wish there were stronger heaters or blankets.

I am conflicted because the food was great, our server was excellent in describing the dishes, the ambiance was bla bla. The reason for the one star rating is that we arrived at 6.45 and were immediately seated, BUT our first dish (bread) did not arrive until 8.15!!! 90 minutes for bread!! The appetizers did not arrive until 8.30/8.40 and the mains until 9.30!! Ultimately over 3 hours and we did not even have dessert!! I do not know the reason as the inside of the restaurant was not full and the staff did not apologize- basically unacceptable!!

Beautiful location. Very spacious. Outdoor dining on a chilly March evening was just fine due to the heat lamps, which lent to the ambiance. The kampachi appetizer was delicious. Dirty martini and old fashioned were expertly made. Salmon has a nice crispy skin and beurre blanc sauce was decadent. Recommend for families, couples, friends, etc - everyone is made welcome. Service was impeccable and witty as well. Thank you, Paul!

We had a spectacular meal there last night. The setting is lovely and every bite was memorable. The salmon, the best we've EVER had. Our server Brett was delightful and attentive without being intrusive. I was treated to a birthday dessert that was also something I'll think about. I would most definitely go again but not sit next to the lawn full of playing kids.

The restaurant offers 3 daily fish at market price. I had a specific conversation with my server, Paul, and asked if there was a fish available in a portion for one person as I was dining alone. He said absolutely, no problem. He brought an enormous platter to the table that could easily feed four people. I was astounded and there was no way I could eat that amount of food. I brought this to my servers attention, and he simply walked away. I ate about 1/3 of it. When the bill came, I saw that I was charged over US$80 for the fish alone. Vegetables were extra as none came with the fish. I feel that I was completely taken advantage of, and lied to. Shame on you, Paul.

Beat salad was creatively designed, presented, and tasted great. Kakavia and salmon entrees were perfectly cooked and the accompanying sauces were amazing. The message in a bottle desert was not on par with everything else but was a fun idea. Overall this was a great culinary experience!

Had a fun night at Serea! I took my staff for a celebratory dinner! Tried a lot of seafood and beverages! Staff was super helpful as well! The Del is so fun to visit if only for dinner!!

Exceptional view and coastal, ocean front location at the historic Hotel Del. Food was good but not spectacular which would be expected considering the price. Drinks were watered down excuses for cocktails.

The attention of the service is a shameAfter eating and charging for more bottles of water than ordered, they waited for us to order cocktails to tell us that we had to leave in 2 minutes. I definitely wouldn't go back.

Spectacular culinary experience in a low key San Diego Beach setting. Our choices included caviar (it was divine), grilled octopus (tender with a wonderful grilled flavor), salmon, ahi, steak, crispy eggplant (all amazingly perfect!).The creme bruleé with citrus was superb. Excellent service from Brett. The food, atmosphere, and service made our family get together an even better experience.

Serea is located on the grounds of the historic Del Coronado Hotel. Our server was attentive but not obsequious. He recommended roasted cauliflower and grilled octopus as appetizers to excellent grilled bream (orata). We selected a Foxen 2020 Pinot Noir from the wine list to complete our wonderful dining experience. We also did not know that the hotel provided the backdrop to “Some Line it Hot,” which added to our evening.

Hotel is undergoing a renovation so the eating was outside. They have lots of twinkle lights , palms Trees Lit from below and above and gas heaters with flames in glass flumes adding to the magical atmosphere

Aloha!!! We were traveling to meet our new granddaughter. We were to have a meal with the other grandparents.... and BAM!!! Simply a perfect, fitting, and delightful meal to have at the Serea while staying at the iconic and unique del Coronado. The Serea has wonderful service, A+ ambiance, and absolutely wonderful food that has Pacific Cuisine fused with American and Non-American influences.

Mark was our server, and Rudy was his co-worker. When I say this was the BEST service I have ever had in my life, that's an understatement. The Greek fries were outstanding and all of our food and drinks were great. The place is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, but I was just blown away by the staff and service. To put into words, we were treated like royalty and every worker was so kind, over the top amazing, and caring. We even went to the bathroom and came back with our napkins folded on our seat. We felt so comfortable and every request was met times 10. Mark even explained the whole menu, Rudy was on top with everything and super friendly and nice. You can ask anyone in the restaurant anything and be treated super respectfully and kindly. But to touch back on the beauty of the restaurant, I would decorate my home like that, to say the least. I will be coming back as many times as I can in my lifetime. Thank you guys for making it so special!
