The foods pretty descent but the prices are high for small portions. The food isn’t bad by any means. But $40per person for a few little things is outrageous for bbq.

Everything here is amazing, the BBQ is the best you'll find in Marin and the rotating draft beer has never had a miss.

This place sticks to what it knows and does it very well. Limited menu but consistently very good food quality and a decent small but varying beer selection. Brisket and ribs is always very good. Recommended.

Unfortunate. While the brisket was tender and juicy, it had no flavor; no smoke and no salt. The pulled pork and sausage are ok if you use sauce, which isn’t a good feature of a bbq restaurant because the meet should be good with no sauce. The best part of this restaurant is that they let you choose which cut of brisket you want, so there is no confusion about if you want lean or fatty slices.Parking: This place is located at a mall with plenty of free parking.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and were fine with us bringing a stroller in.

Excellent bbq by an amazing chef. Servers are friendly and their marbled brisket. Not surprised they received a bib gourmand from Michelin.

Good bar-b-que food. Busy place inside the shopping center. As with some restaurants, they continue to use the QR code for ordering food at the tables. They have two registers and they are set up for rapid ordering to try to keep the line to a minimum. The employees were very helpful as the ordering system had some difficulty.

I honestly went into Pig In a Pickle with modest expectations since the reviews on Yelp were below a 4 (which usually isn't a good sign). But we just moved to the area recently and without going to San Rafael, this is the only BBQ close to the Mill Valley/Tiburon area. To my surprise, the ribs and brisket had a great crust on it and were full of flavor and very tender! The greens were well seasoned and the ranch beans were a surprise (I grew up in the south, so BBQ was a staple there). We always order to-go, so we've had great experiences with the BBQ. It did make me wonder why the reviews were so low after ordering from here a few times, so I read through reviews and it seems they're all focused on an issue with bringing in outside food to the establishment (and their response to this by the owner). That seems easily fixed if management approaches that topic different. But for those ordering to-go, this is really solid BBQ!

Amazing dinner tonight. We got several things and split everything. Brisket was very good but the pulled pork was amazing! Yum. The beans were delicious and the collard greens were phenomenal. I had the Parker roll and hubby had the corn bread. Everything was great. This place really does a great job. My only complaint is this restaurant isn't located next door to my house!

While grabbing some lunch with my boss and coworker I had actually decided to grab some starbirds across the way. After I got my food I sat down to dine with the others in my party who were ordering food from Pig in a Pickle. A lady came out who was extremely rude and told me I have to get off the patio. I can understand if I was INSIDE the restaurant but the patio on a slow day should not me a problem. My boss and coworker were about to spend over $50 but because of the "rule" and attitude of the employee they lost their business.

This place is seriously underrated, and I say that as someone who recently moved to the 'burbs after living in nyc, Boston and sf. The bbq here is the best we've had in the past few years outside of like one place in Brooklyn. The sides are delicious, it's reasonably priced and service is super fast. The sauces are good and the meat is fresh and tasty and there's something for everyone.

Hands down the most best and most consistent bbq around. Chef takes pride in his product. Great quality. Love to eat at the bar.

It was bland. Im sure it was high quality meat, but tastes like it was prepared for a 5 month old baby.

Food is tasty. I am still not sure how I feel about them serving the food on paper mats instead of plates. Don't sit near the doors because a cold draft comes in when they are

Repeat customer. Great BBQ ribs and brisket. Collard greens are also yummy, though not traditional southern style.

Pig in a Pickle isn't strictly authentic Southern or Texas-style BBQ, but the local-style BBQ they do here is pretty darn good :-) Tip: Local delivery is handled directly by this restaurant, as opposed to one of the big chain delivery services The prices here aren't cheap, but completely worth it given the quality and the portion sizes.
