We had the sampler platter. Chopped pork, chicken, turkey, and Brisket were really good. Sausage was average. Good mild smoked flavor in all meats. Ribs were also good. Mild and Spicey sauces were really good. Creamed corn was really good. Potato salad was outstanding. Banana pudding was very good. Pecan pie was honestly the best I have ever had, anywhere!
Delicious bbq spot in a great hidden location. Ample parking in front and back. It was our first time and we tried as many meats as we could and every single one was delicious!!! The fries are ?. Service was great…the guy behind the counter explained the menu to us before ordering. Can’t wait to come back.

Nice quality bbq joint in Costa Mesa. A bit tight on parking for large parties. Outdoor dining area is nicer than average. Ribs gall off the bone, and smoked turkey is juicy!
Amazing barbecue. The blueberry cornbread complemented the meat well. Mac and cheese was super creamy and the coleslaw was crisp and flavorful. I loved the brisket and pulled pork.Lots of outdoor seating available during early weekday lunch. Parking lot is small. It's a very cute area to eat.
The food was delicious! It was our first time, and the cashier gave us an explanation of the menu and recommendations! I forgot to take a picture before digging in, but the brisket and pulled pork were delicious! Really loved the blueberry cornbread, too!

Lovely place but I was not impressed with the food. I ordered the ribs and two meats including chicken and brisket.The ribs had no bark whatsoever and were almost grey in color. No flavor at all. The chicken was dry and cold and the brisket was diced up, no smoke flavor and dry as well. I barely ate any of it and declined to take the leftovers with me. So disappointed!

Visiting from northern California and decided to go to Newport Beach. We stopped in to the Beach Pit BBQ. Wow, were we all impressed! We had a party of 8, arrived right at lunch time and anticipated a long wait for service. It was anything but what we expected. Despite the pressure of having so many people come through, he didn't miss a beat or seem stressed in the least.The food was delicious, moist, flavorful and fresh! We shared around the table a little bit of everything from the meats, salads, slaw and potato salad - all were amazing and their "secret recipe" BBQ sauce was the icing on top.The restaurant was clean, great atmosphere, decor and music. The outside patio is an excellent place to soak up some sunshine, and they had outdoors heaters for cold days.We look forward to adding your business to our shared travels itineraries.Thanks for being open on New Year's Day too! ☺️Best wishes to the success of your business! This a quaint location with a wonderful theme and atmosphere. The service was super welcoming and kind, and incredibly fast to get food out after ordering. The food itself was amazing, and a great value for the portions. Meat was very tender and moist and you can customize how much BBQ sauce you prefer with their house-made blends.I would love to visit again, this place was a great gem to find during our travels :)
