We had the best experience working with Maria from Grace and Honey Cakes! She was so kind and easy to work with. We had a hard time choosing which flavor because all of them were so delicious, but we chose Jadore (raspberry and vanilla) for the main cake and Nutella for the grooms cake. The design for the main cake was so beautiful and we loved how it turned out! For the grooms cake, my husband is from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and we wanted to honor/celebrate his friends and family coming all the way out to SoCal, so Maria was able to incorporate the Upper Peninsula outline onto the grooms cake, and it was a huge hit!! It looked amazing and everyone loved it!The cakes tasted amazing, our guests came back for seconds and most people tried both flavors! I highly recommend Grace and Honey Cakes, we are so grateful to Maria for all of her help and expertise!

We searched high and low for a wedding cake that would be equally beautiful, delicious, and unique. Maria absolutely knocked it out of the park!Her flavor offerings are unique, not cloyingly sweet (keep in mind you're still eating cake though!), and refined. This means you can taste the flavor profile but they're not in your face or artificial tasting. She released new flavors in 2023 and I low key want to find an excuse to custom order a cake for these amazing flavors (A few standouts: London Fog - almond orange earl grey & milk cake with honey buttercream and pear compote, Lavender Bellini - lavender cake with presecco reduction, lavender and blueberry buttercreams, Mocha Raspberry - chocolate cake soaked with espresso syrup, kahlua ganache, espresso buttercream, and raspberry preserves). For our 2022 wedding, we went with two flavors to match each of our personalities. My flavor was tiramisu. Anyone that knows me that I'm a coffeeholic and the espresso flavor shined through while still being enjoyable by the masses. We tasted coffee/espresso/mocha flavors from other bakeries that barely had any coffee flavor so was very happy with Maria's take on it! The groom's flavor was j'adore which is a vanilla cake with raspberry preserves. We're very particular with fruit fillings having a natural tasting tart component to balance out the sweetness and this flavor was just perfect. It was an elevated version of a combo people are familiar with. Maria's cakes are absolutely stunning as well! Our cake was relatively simple, and the outcome came out even better than the original inspiration pics! She can execute such beautiful designs so definitely check out her IG page. Although we were very happy with the cake the day of, there were times where there was a delay in responses from Maria. We had to follow up quite a few times and quite frankly, wedding planning is already stressful so just something to keep in mind. We would still 100% recommend Grace and Honey!

I thought maybe the reply was from a disgruntled employee but after reading other one star yelp reviews, bad service/communication is common here. I reached out a few days prior to inquire about cupcakes and a cake for my daughter's birthday. The photo shows the response I got. Bottom line, I was expecting a bit more warmth and friendliness from a catering business that focuses on celebrations. Especially since they have a 5 star rating on Yelp. But their response was lacking.

There are so many great things about Grace and Honey Cakes - the transparent pricing on their website, the unique and delicious cake flavors, and the skills, talent, and professionalism of Maria, the owner. We worked with her on our cake and not only was she so patient and accommodating with our many changes throughout the planning process, she made our cake so beautiful and arranged the florals on it so that the cake was even better than we had imagined. I am so grateful that I hired Grace & Honey Cakes to create our wedding cake. They are 1 of our venue's referred vendors for wedding cakes. Maria is truly an amazing baker & artist! We taste-tested many of the cake flavors and selected the Almond Melli, which was AMAZING! I shared pictures of the style of cake that I envisioned and how I wanted the flowers oriented. Maria was awesome! She made everything so easy, starting with the tasting all the way through to delivering our cake on our wedding day. Her flavors are delicious too (we got Almond Melli)! It was a tough choice, we were between almond Melli and rose pistachio (both delicious). Everyone raved about our wedding cake after the wedding. Maria's attention to detail was apparent when I saw the cake. It was exquisite, beautiful and exactly how I wanted it. I will definitely use her for future occasions.

If you are not looking for the best cake you have ever had in your entire life, please keep moving. Once you eat this cake, you will never be able to forget it. I don't think I will ever eat cake again unless it is from Grace & Honey Cakes. The flavors are absolutely delicious and so fresh. The cake is moist but light. The buttercream is smooth and not too sweet. I found Maria's bakery and was intrigued at first by the unique flavors, and her cakes are so beautiful. I ordered some samples and was discussing making a one tiered cutting cake with Maria since my venue already had dessert included. I picked up the samples and shared them with my parents. We quickly requested a full cake because we knew it would be selfish not to share the best cake we have ever eaten with all of our guests. This is not an exaggeration, I am sure there is an email chain somewhere where I admit this to Maria. The hardest part of wedding planning was finding Maria's cake in March of 2020 and having to wait to have it again until our replanned wedding in November of 2021. My guests said the same & they were all so impressed with the cake's flavors and quality. I would 100% order again (the flavors we chose were Lemoni Fraoula & Earl Grey, both delicious). I also love that she offers signature cakes & plan on ordering for the next family event we have in California.
It was overpriced for the quality and flavor of the cake. The customer service was very rude and unaccommodating. We would have accepted the lack of hospitality if your cake is exceptional but unfortunately overall experience was horrible. Will never recommend. See attached photos of how the cake was packaged.

Maria was recommended to us by our venue Turnip Rose. When we first tasted the cakes during the pandemic we were blown away by the flavors. Our wedding was postponed and we tasted more flavors and decided on the almond meli. We tried 6 flavors and all were delicious. Multiple people after the wedding told us how much they loved the cake! Maria responds mainly by email and she answered all the questions had. Will definitely come back for her signature cakes for other events.

Grace & Honey Cakes were one of the cake vendors my venue recommended/was contracted with. Due to COVID, my husband and I were able to do cake tasting from the comfort of our home. We tried Earl Grey, Posh Red, and Lemoni Fraoula. Earl grey was our favorite! It wasn't overly sweet; it was just right. Posh Red was good, too - that was our second choice. The Lemon Fraoula was a bit too sweet for us. Nonetheless, the cakes were moist and yummy. Maria followed up with us after a few weeks. We ended up doing a simple buttercream texture included in our package with floral designs based on an inspo photo I sent with florals provided by our florist (we just had our florist leave some blooms and greenery at the cake table). What I loved was that she has worked many times at our venue and knew all the details. I didn't have to worry a thing with the cake delivery, set up, etc. On the wedding day, she decorated our cake beautifully with the florals! Hopefully I can come back to upload a picture when I get finalized photos from our photographer. The only reason why I am giving 4 stars is because Maria's email responses can be a little slow. Despite that, everything turned out wonderfully! Although I personally found the cream to be a little too thick/stiff, we had guests compliment our cake. The cake flavor was lovely. I recommend Maria/Grace and Honey Cakes. Her cakes and designs are absolutely BEAUTIFUL and there are so many flavors to choose from! There is surely a flavor for anyone. :)
