I submitted a last minute inquiry on the Hamada-Ya website to order a whole strawberry shortcake, and Scott kindly gave me a call the very next morning. The ordering and pick-up process was very smooth and Scott was extremely helpful and responsive. Unfortunately the bakery wasn't able to add any personalized message but it looked beautiful with some candles! The cake was moist and the strawberries were very fresh. Hope to visit again!

Located in the mitsuwa supermarket. The bakery had very friendly staff and while small had a solid selection of sweet and savory options and breads. The curry donut was the best I've had outside of Japan! I will definitely be stopping by again.

Fresh and tasty bakery treats! :)Everything here is so delicious and they have a large range of items! It was our first time and we were glad to see that they had the treats we liked. Items are pretty reasonable priced and they also have drinks available. I highly recommend anything with real fruit or chocolate like their Fruit Tarts or Bavarian Chocolate!* Bavarian Chocolate: 10/10 - loved the chocolate chips* Fruit Tart: 9/10 - delicious pastry and real fruits* Chocolate Croissant: 9/10 - fluffy and nice chocolate flavorThe people there were super nice and friendly. It’s located in the Mitsuwa Supermarket, but the bakery itself is kind of small. It also gets kind of confusing because there aren’t any signs that tell you where the lines starts so you’re kind of just crowding around. Finding a parking spot is pretty easy, however, because they have an underground structure. One of our new favorite bakeries! :)

A bakery located inside Mitsuwa Market! There was also a microwave in the market, so it was great for warming up bread! The bread was delicious and not too spicy.

i think for the most part everything we've had here is decent to good, hence the four stars, but the custard pudding they make here is 5* all the way on flavor and pricelight, airy, fluffy, eggy, soft custard cream, with a small serving of caramel syrup -- it ends up tasting like a great creme brûlée or flan, and for less than $4 it's a must get every time we eat at the food courtso good, i'd buy a bucket full of it if i could! thank you for the wonderful desserts :)

The bakery is located within Mitsuwa. I didn't have any baked goods as I had breakfast beforehand. I only had the coffee jelly milk. The jelly was good, and there was a lot of it. I wish there was more liquid though.

I love their coffee jelly milk here, its basically a milk coffee but in jelly form, love from the first sip. They also have bake goods here that I thought were decent, nothing too special about the bread but the drinks are delicious. I also had the strawberry au lait that was really good too. But definitely try the coffee milk.

I was looking for a snack after making a return to Macy's and Hamada-ya Bakery came up in the Yelp suggestions. I hadn't been to Mitsuwa Marketplace in years so I went to walk around and see how the place had changed. I had no problem finding a parking space in the late afternoon at around 4:30 p.m.I was greeted by the young man as soon as he was done serving his customer. I picked out the green tea coronet, the apple custard cake, and 2 spicy curry buns which have a beef filling. I asked him what the popular items were and he told me that it would be the strawberry croissant, the Boston cream donut, and the spicy curry buns. He packed my items nicely in a small box. The apple custard cake is soft like a pillow. The custard is whipped smooth. The piece of cake is topped with a slice of baked apple and a teaspoon of cream and is not overly sweet. I see that they also have drinks. I should get one next time to have with the baked goods.
