This place is a home type atmosphere they surve quickly with a smile, you are definitely treated like family. The food is home cooked mexican food. This place has been around a long time for a good reason, good food, good service, and reasonably priced. They were really busy when we were there and still got waited on in a reasonable amount of time. I was told that their drinks especially the margaritas were really tasty but a little pricey. I bet by the second one the price doesn't really matter.Over all a great place.

I wanted to like the food because there are so many reviews raving about it. Your first impression at a Mexican restaurant is chips and salsa. The salsa is so thick and lacks flavor. It feels and tastes like tomato paste. The steak in my tacos was tasty but the black beans and corn salad also lacked the flavors.

Every one else in my party enjoyed their meal. I had a taco salad and ? yuck. I picked at it and just filled up on chips. Seats were pretty worn and ripped and carpet was old. I've been going here for 40 years and this place is definitely ready for a remodel.

It might be where the shelter's outstanding; It was the best Mexican pizza meal we ever had; In fact, we ordered another meal to take home with us.
My family and I have been coming here for 40 plus years. We love the consistency and size of the portions. The staff is always friendly, margaritas are strong, and cheese is plentiful! Check it out if you're in the Costa Mesa area.

Coming here since I was a kid food was always good since the family took over the son or who ever he is awalys looks hung over greets customers reeking of alcohol the older skinny blonde Waitress acts like she doing you favor and very rude bring your plate with her thum in your food this place has gone down hill trashy and tacky let's not for get the old lady who greets you with an attitude this place cracks me up there always hunting for a tip $$$$
