I love the beef ribs here! All the meats are cooked excellent, I’m just not a huge fan of loads of BBQ sauce on my meat! Maybe I just need to ask for it on the side!The mashed potatoes are ridiculously good, the coleslaw, and sweet potatoes came in at a strong second place on flavor. Mac and cheese is ok and so are the roasted veggies.Overall if you want some yummy cuts of meat for a really reasonable price for tons of food, this is the place!

The Baby back Ribs are the best in the world! They are beyond tender and the meat peels right off the bone. Their custom BBQ sauce is beyond delicious. I have been enjoying these ribs since they opened in 1984 as a 1 year old with my parents. I will be a lifelong customer!!

I've been to Newport Rib many times. As always, Food was great. However, service was the worst I've ever experienced there. Server keep forgetting things including a 2nd drink which was still on the bill. I don't recall ever seeing her before, but she mentioned she had worked at another restaurant before joining Newport Rib. Hoping next time I visit NR for the great food yhat the service will be much better.
They do a great job of creating a menu that appeals to everyone. Lots of choices, young and old. Very unique. Food is also quite good. They even had a variety of Corona which I never see. They should bottle and sell their BBQ sauce. I would take some home for sure. Very fun and comfortable place at very reasonable prices. We will be back.
The food was horrible. Appetizer- artichoke dip tasted like can stuff and the chips were not home made as stated. The corn bread was extremely dry. The cowboy steak special was so greasy, it sat in a pool of grease. The twice baked potato was barely warm. The season vegetables were ok. I also added 5 ribs to my entree and they were horrible and had not smoked flavor. My husband ordered the combo with Mac-n-cheese and corn on the cob. The meats that came with it were ribs(not good), chicken leg(ok tasting) the brisket smelled like wet dog food and tasted disgusting. The Mac-n-cheese was horrible too. The serve even stated she did ate for it either. The corn was cold and had a sour milk taste to it. My guess is they used left over food from previous days and just microwaved it. Overall this is the worst food we have ever experienced eating out.

Unfortunately the macaroni and cheese was not up to par. Baked potato was lukewarm. In my reservations I noted it was a birthday celebration. Our bill was presented - no mention from server of this. Then as we are getting ready to leave she brought by a dessert and said she had forgot!

The cornbread was very dry. The waiter who was great suggested that it might have been the bread from the day before! Wierd to tell a customer. The rest of the food was delicious!!

Took my aunt here for her 88th birthday. The senior size meals are very generous.. You'll have left overs. Great bbq ribs. So good. Service is great.. staff seems like they are great at team work. So worth it!!
