We have had take-out pho on multiple occasions from Pho Lantern. Tonight we chose to dine in with two of our kids. We had such a fabulous experience. The food is always delicious but the service was extraordinary. Our server Vui had an incredible grasp of customer service and wowed us with her amazing hospitality. We LOVE Pho Lantern.

The pho here is excellent. Very impressed with the quality of food down to the juicy limes and crisp Basil. Broth is superb. A lot of pho restaurants I eat for convenience but this one I'll travel to for quality. Median prices.Vegetarian options: Section of the menu labeled vegetarianKid-friendliness: Kid friendly, casual atmosphereWheelchair accessibility: Accessible with ramp from parking lot and tables inside

The food is good here, but they mess up orders from time to time, and the manager will not give a replacement or store credit for the original order. It makes it a very expensive gamble to get takeout here. If you go in person, I would say it’s great food

Mom pop pho spot with an exceedingly tasty broth and I know my pho! I haven’t had such a good bowl of pho for a very long time and I have tried many pho restaurants all around little Saigon and beyond. Clean restaurant. Fast service. I’ll be back for more. Tons of stuff to choose from besides from pho too!

Food was terrible. Ordered a shrimp dish and the it was awful as the shrimp used wasn't cleaned properly. Not to mention, getting our orders mixed up, serving appetizers after the main course, and a little forgetful with refilling our drinks.

VERY POOR SERVICE … which is unfortunate because the food is usually decent here… but the service on our last visit was absolutely awful, despite my best efforts to explain what we wanted. My son and I ordered chicken SPRING rolls and a large bowl of chicken and vegetable pho, both WITHOUT cilantro - which I very clearly explained to the server. Unfortunately, the spring rolls came back as fried egg rolls, so we sent them back. The egg rolls were replaced by pork and shrimp spring rolls (not chicken), which despite not being the chicken ones we ordered, we decided to just keep and eat… BUT they turned to be full of cilantro!! Third was the pho, which arrived covered with cilantro, so here again, we sent the dish back. Three minutes later, they returned with the same dish from which they had just scraped the top - still a bunch of cilantro leaves had slipped down into the soup. When I called on the lady to explain the issue, she literally looked like she had no idea what I was talking about, and in mid-sentence, she didn’t acknowledge any of what I had just told her, she just turned away and went back to the kitchen, never to be heard from again. I strongly suspect some communication challenge here, but I simply don’t know how to resolve it. Unfortunately I will not be setting foot in this restaurant ever again. The food is fine but the service is severely and unacceptably lacking.

Had to reheat the soup since noodles didn't cook well. The prices are $4 higher than a year ago for a large soup. It was tasty.

Enjoyed the Pho soup. Seems family run and kinda chaotic. Also communication was challenging too as I felt like they didn't understand anything I said and had to get other staff that struggled too. Just asked for more water, silverware and a napkin as there wasn't any on the table and my bill. Had to ask twice as they seemed preoccupied. Customer service is their weakness. Also the man who works there got the table order behind me wrong after 2 attempts and during the third the customer asked him if you would like to write it down. He said no. Their to go/pick ups were complicated for those that came in to pick up. They seemed agitated yet patient.

This is an excellent choice for Pho in Costa Mesa/Newport. I went with a few friends, and even though it was later in the evening, we still received excellent service from both Peter and Joe. The food tasted great and was a nice portion size.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

Pho Lantern Cafe, where pho-nomenal meets lightning speed! The busser swooped in like a culinary superhero, armed with everything we needed faster than you can say 'noodle soup'. The food? A delicious whirlwind of flavors, served quicker than a greased chopstick. And the bill? Wallet-friendly, leaving us richer in both cash and taste. A must-visit for pho-natics! ???
