I’m gonna write this four stars only for the fact that a dozen donuts cost $50. It’s just super excessive for the price and honest opinion I think the donuts that’s open 24 hours in Newport Beach by the pier is far much better and cheaper.

If you like muffins you will love these “donuts” if you like donuts you will wonder what people see in this place. I’m more of a donut lover, never been a fan of muffins. Way too bready! Over priced, taste - I would describe it like a muffin (so not much taste). I’m sure they mean well, staff nice, this is purely a review on the donut experience. ?

Good donuts but man pricey for what you get. Clearly "high end" donuts but not exactly the best I've had. Usually go here when they have a promotion or work brings them in.

Amazing doughnuts with unique cakes taste. Coffee is great here as well. Just hurts my stomach after too many

The donuts here are truly delightful--fresh and delicious. Specifically, the huckleberry donut is exceptional--perfectly fresh and bursting with flavor. Additionally, the basil eggs Benedict is simply outstanding. Both are highlights of the menu here.

As someone from out of town I always make it a point to visit when I'm in the area. While the doughnuts are a bit pricey, they are phenomenal and worth every dollar. In fact, last time I ate so many that it ruined my dinner later in the day (which was fine because out dinner location wasn't that great).

Used to be the best around. The past few years they've gone down hill. Quality not quite as good. And they used to have monthly donuts that would be new flavors every single month. Now it's seasonal flavors and the flavors aren't even new, it's recycled from last year. We want something new! But they must be too focused on opening new locations to create something unique. We used to go every weekend. Now we go maybe 2 times a year

An Awesome Go-to place for fancy donuts! I personally loved their strawberry doughnuts during their seasonal spring menu! Definitely check out their seasonal items because I find them much more appealing than the regular stuff. Best to order ahead when able

I love Sidecar!!!! Huckleberry is by far my favorite and probably will always be my favorite. It's just SO good, iykyk. We stopped by to try their Strawberry Matcha donut and we were very happy that we only ordered one. I love a good Strawberry Matcha drink, but this donut was a hard no. Besides the strawberry as a garnish, I couldn't detect any strawberry flavor. It was basically a matcha donut and not a very pleasant one - I'll just leave it at that. Huckleberry was amazing, as per usual and the service was great.

Update: now I think that butter & salt is the best, ahead of the old fashioned (not counting the Benedict). Should huckleberry still be in consideration? Tough call. Good doughnuts either way.
