This food here was delicious! We would be on an outing and ended up here. If you have eaten here before, you know exactly what I mean! The service was wonderful and we would chat with Grace, the cook, & Jose about everything. She was so friendly. The place is closed now & we were so disappointed to hear that. We hope it will open again soon next year so we can enjoy great service and good food. We will be back! Rebecca & RichardParking: We would go during the week and found parking right in front!

Wow!If you are thinking about stopping here, DO! We almost passed up this gem only to find we have our new favorite Mexican restaurant. The food was authentic, delicious, filling, seasoned right, fresh, handmade and felt like eating homemade. I told my husband, "I am a good cook, but it's places like this that make me realize I can't cook" if you are looking for a good place to eat that is priced so reasonably stop here.Vegetarian options: You can order anything with a bean option!Parking: Plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to get in and tables for eating. I didn't use the bathroom so I can't speak on it.

We were hungry after heading down highway 160 for a Sunday drive heading south from home in West Sacramento, stopped at the liquor store for a drink and decided to give this restaurant a try when we saw it. It’s facade is not built out or anything like that and is very “divey”. It’s under new management and ownership in the last month or so, and it is one of the best, homemade meals I have had in a long time when it comes to Mexican food. We have visited many places in Sacramento and I am originally from East LA, the home of some of the best Mexican food and I can tell you that this little hole in a wall deserves to get off the ground with more people visiting it! My kids, husband and I were highly impressed with the authentic flavors of Mexico being present here on the Delta, on Highway 160, Courtland. I don’t know what these other negative reviewers are talking about, maybe the previous owners, but these ladies make food with all the heart in the world and we’re doing their best to ask us what we needed. If you want to pay a ton of money for a showy place this is not it. It reminded me of the places in Mexico where you stop and can feel like you’re in a Time Capsule, authentic and far from home, yet it’s just 20 min from us, probably closer to Elk Grove. Please visit it! They have a smaller menu at the moment because they are growing and don’t have a million things to pick from, but they did have lots of tacos, quesabirria dipped tacos, homemade tortillas and sauces, pozole only mornings I believe and need people to visit and help them put more on the menu by stopping by. The food was outstanding and Martha are Lupita are bomb a** cooks!!! The burrito my daughter had was absolutely gigantic and I am not exaggerating. It had carne asada with everything. I had sopes and they are also huge and had fresh Mexican cheese and cream. Please go! You won’t be disappointed in their flavors.

If you like good authentic Mexican stop by and enjoy lunch or dinner. I had a gigantic carnasada burrito and it was good. I had to bring half of it home.

Awful, awful, awful. The four of us stopped by here on a Saturday after a leisurely cruise through the Delta. My friend likes to try hole-in-the-wall restaurants. This place certainly fits that description. First, they completely mismanaged all of our orders and when the correct orders arrived the food was room temperature. Also, they did not provide us with utensils untl we asked. I had the two beef enchiladas and beans and rice combo. Only a tiny amount of beef in there too. The beans and rice were the only thing edible on the plate, but just mediocre at that. My wife ordered two tacos which she said were"passable". Our friends were equally unimpressed with their orders---when they finally arrived about 15 minutes AFTER the wife and I received our dinners. Our two combo plates cost $35.00. A shocking rip-off and a total shame. The food at Taco Bell is far superior so I suggest that you pass up on this place like the pandemic. If I could I would not give this disaster of a restaurant any stars and if my wife cooked that badly I woud have divorced her 36 years ago.

La Posada is under new management and has the BEST authentic Mexican food. The service is fast, the workers are friendly and make sure you get what you need. Definitely recommend!!

*update* the past three times I went, were a complete fail. When we got the orders the last two times and brought them home, the orders were wrong. They have asada now too and it's very bland. One time we went while they were open, they turned us away. The orders have been wrong from ordering in both Spanish and English. I'd say , head down to chuys down the road * laPosada is open! I'm not sure of their hours because none were posted. They also do not have a menu. Inside is pretty, and clean but extremely hot and stuffy, so best to take your food to go , or sit out at one of the two tables out front. I got a carnitas burrito. The beans inside had incredible flavor, the carnitas not so much, but overall was a good burrito. However, it was extremely greasy on the outside. It didn't appear so at first, but became that way as I ate more. Filling, good size. At the time of writing, they do not make asada. Would go again and also want to try the tamales. CASH ONLY

I found La Posada while on line looking for a new restaurant to try on the delta. My wife and I were not disappointed! Grace was so sweet and kind. She brought us tasty chips and salsa then was off to the kitchen to prepare out street tacos which were delicious! I bet their breakfast is killer. The building may not be much to look at but come for the food. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Grace. I hope your arthritis gets better.

Really divey looking on the outside and a bit on the inside too. Unfortunately, I can't review their food because I didn't get a chance to try it. I really wish I had known before stopping that I'd either need cash or Zelle or some cash app to pay for my meal. Maybe next time I'm in the area and also have cash.

It was a perfect little lunch on my way home from Sacramento to San Francisco. It felt very authentic- like I was in Mexico, but it was across the waters of the Sacramento River! Delicious bean tostada with fresh tomato and avocado, and a Jarritos. Friendly service too. ¡Me encanta!

Simply delicious. Wonderful people. The enchiladas wEre to die for. Great location across from the river.

Delicious Chile Relleno, rice, and beans. Cold beer. Good chips and salsa. Perfect lunch stop.
