I do not recommend this place. It has been an hour and we still have not gotten our food. Not only that some of our group got a combination and they ran out of miso and salad. Our orders were wrong. We were seated at 8:10 and it's currently 9:10 and only half the table has their food. They claim to be busy but they haven't seated anyone after our group. I'm only here because of the Bishimon Rally and this is by far the worst place on the rally.I'm going to edit this review and keep my original one up.We were a group. And they messed up our orders really badly. After 2 hours (being seated around 8) we finally got what we somewhat ordered. How does it take 2 hours to make a curry dish? It's rice, curry and beef. Not only that we were even discounted the combination. They ran out of salad and miso. This would never happen at Little Tokyo and the get more volume than this garbage of a restaurant. We paid full priced for this absolutely garbage experience. Bishimon group should be ashamed of themselves. All their other locations in the 30th, 30 years, 3 decades... have provided good service. Sad to the the one that supposedly started everything off provide subpar service and not even try to make things right. Even when we asked for an itemized bill to make sure we weren't charged for something we didn't get we got hit miscellaneous for everything we ordered. Not to mention that their online menu prices and venue prices were completely different. Avoid this location at all cost. They'll just take your money and leave you with a sore back end.

Pros - Food tastes great, servers are nice and cordial.Cons - Kitchen ran out of items and didn't communicate. A combination plate should include the items listed, such as Miso and salad. Or at least tell me before I order.Items came out for one person at the table at a time. By the time the last person in our party of 6 received their food, the first person had been finished for over 20 minutes. Overall we only received one dish every 15 minutes. We ordered waters twice and never received them.Overall, the mismanaged kitchen led to an extremely unsavory experience that the good food could not overcome.

Had a friend's birthday party here, he had been waiting until he was 21 to make full use of the karaoke and bar. Going there was such a blast, and thr atmosphere was amazing, the sushi chefs we're even joining in on the fun, wagering drinks and all that, very chill! Did karaoke after eating, had a blast with that as well. Very cool.

Rolls galore. Entrees kept rolling in keeping me busy devouring them. One delicious bite after the other. My niece did all the ordering because I treated her and her Mom. After all those savory rolls, they had to roll us out. Great service. Arigatou!

It's 9:00 p.m. in Tokyo, and you find yourself walking through Shibuya. The air is brisk, and a little frost hangs in the air from your breath. You walk into a sushi-bar restaurant to order your favorite Ramen noodles. You're greeted with a warm いらっしゃいませ! (Welcome!) and take a seat. You order the tonkotsu ramen to satisfy your craving for a well bodied, robust flavored noodle dish. The kitchen is quick to make your order and presents it with the style of a fancy restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and comforting. The steam emanating from your fresh bowl of noodles in front of you fills you with delight as you take your first bite. The flavor of the broth is perfectly balanced, the noodles have the perfect firmness, and the chashu is cooked to the perfect consistency. Everything is exactly as you remember back when you were in Japan. Except you're in... Covina? It's Saturday, and you just finished working your shift that day. That is how good the food here is.

Love the ramens! The susbinis great but i like going herenfor the ramens. Try the shoyu (so rich and garlicy) and the creamy tonkatsu ramen. Ramens come with a side salad with an amazing housemade Japanese dressing. The indoor seating is booths with chairs as well as a sushi bar. It's a great date spot on a weeknight as there are fewer patrons during that time. Beer selection includes bottled and draft beers. Waitstaff is always friendly and checking on you.

Some of the best sushi I've ever had. Service was incredible despite us inadvertently arriving 30 minutes before closing. The octopus sashimi was by far my favorite dish.

Went here for dinner and everything was amazing! The interior was also really nice. I recommend the curry and unagi nigiri!

I've been living in the area for a while now and come to Downtown Covina often but never tried this place until now. It's a small little spot but very nice and cozy. My family and I were in the mood for soup so we ordered some ramen and udon. I got the Tempura Udon because I've been craving it for a while now. It was pretty good. I just probably would request the tempura on the side next time because it does get soggy fast after sitting in the broth. The side salad they offer is delicious especially the dressing. The chefs and staff were very nice. Would come back since it's so convenient!

The Bishamon Group the parent company should be ashamed of the customer service here. Unprofessional customer service not typical to Daikokuya. Tonight I drove 25 minutes to be treated like trash by a young lady with curly hair who when she found out I was ordering take out told me that I needed to stand outside and she would come take my order while she proceeded to go scoop ice and make me wait outside in the rain for no good reason when she could have quickly and briefly taken my order. After waiting a while from the cold and rain I walked back in and the lady who was busy attending to people dining in without me took my order. When my order came up from the kitchen the same young lady with curly hair and glasses lightly tossed my order on the rack while walking away and saying "your order" the lady who was picking up for post mates next to me mouth dropped.Being short staffed or busy is not a convincing excuse here because the other lady was not this way at all.I'm a big fan of many other restaurants under the Bishamon group like Midoh etc and this service is disappointing. This happened 11/08/2022 at around 10:40pm to 11:20pmI'm sad the customer service is like this here.

Is it just me that gets bad service here? I've tried coming here twice before and basically got turned down because there were no seats available and didn't even give us an option to wait. Today was the third time we decided to try again... we walked in, was not greeted. The host said there's a booth available go ahead so as we're seating ourselves, another host says no sorry this table is reserved... ummm back to the front we go to wait. After 15 min of waiting the reserved booth is still empty and the party from the other booth is leaving so then the host says, take the reserved booth and we'll move it to the other. Wow! Couldn't you have sat us from the start? We sit... another party sits but they get their drinks... it literally took us to stop the host and ask for our drinks to be ordered. Now the food, it's great and packed with flavor. Since the service is such a disappointment, I'm not sure it's worth coming back.
