Poor service the other day. Some guy was being rude and joking around while trying to take my order. It was night time. Also just got some fish tacos during the day on today (Saturday)Tortillas weren't cooked and cold ?They didn't give me a receipt or napkins either. Starting to have bad experiences here lately. I come by often bc it's close to my family's house.

This place tends to get VERY slow at times. If you're expecting "fast" Mexican food, you won't find it here. The fact everyone is 21 or under, and very prone to slacking as it took forever to pick up a small order, makes it really a joke that fast food workers have the nerve to get more pay.

I went throught the drive thru. The three layer nachos were great. The burrito was ok and the crunchtada was ok. The gentleman that took my order was awesome but the female that gave me my order wasn't very friendly and also forgot my sauces I asked for.

Avoid this Del by all means. Just lookup the next closest location and go there. Came here on a Friday once during regular working hours to be told they were closed because of “shift changes”… I always get “The Del Taco” and they make it terribly. There’s like 7 pieces of lettuce, 15 pieces of shredded cheese and 5 tomatoes. If you do end up here, don’t forget to ask for sauce, cutlery, straws and napkins because they NEVER put any of that in the bag or ask what kind of sauce you want. The vibe also sucks. The employees always seemed bummed. Management really needs to be looked at here. Look at this sad taco…

THEY DO NOT GIVE RECEIPTS!!!! Warning if you come here and pay with cards. I will be watching my account like a hawk because this feels like a big scam. Here is what I wrote to their corporate office"Today is 11.14.23 at around 5:20-5:30pm PST at 459 S Citrus Ave, Covina, CA 91723 I ordered dinner for my family, gave my card for the purchase and was NOT given a receipt. The woman at the window, Brianna (I don't know if that's how it's spelled because she refused to write it down for me) said she could not give me a receipt for my purchase. I find this completely unacceptable and feels like a scam. It's required to offer receipts in California "Regulation 1686. Receipts for Tax Paid to Retailers.Reference: Section 6202, Revenue and Taxation Code.(a) In General. Each retailer required to collect use tax from purchasers (including lessees) must give a receipt to each purchaser (or lessee) for the amount of the tax collected."On top of that, she informed me they were severely understaffed. She said only her and the cook were working that evening. Which may explain why she was cranky, I explained I understand it's not her fault they are understaffed but that I did not appreciate the attitude she kept giving me. This encouraged her to be even more rude to me, so I regretted offering any empathy. She said "I don't have an attitude, that's how I am." I also work in customer service, and this was not an experience I appreciated. There are many many options for food in the area. I wanted to give Del taco a try because of their new items, but this has been an awful experience all around. The owner/manager needs to retrain their staff and schedule enough people. Also, WE NEED RECEIPTS."

My husband went to drive through to order some food. The lady on the intercom came on and said, "Go ahead"! Instead of saying, "May I take your order, please". Not to mention when he drove to the window it took at least 10 minutes to bring the order. Finally,When the worker brought him the order to the window, my husband looked in the bag and realized there was no fries. He asked the employee about the fries and the worker got a small fry but he put his hand on top of the fries. He refused yo take the fries. The worker responded and said, "You're touching the food in the bag"! Lol but it's my food. This is unsanitary because the worker without a doubt have been touching money and no telling what else. And then he gave me a fresh I touched fries. In addition it turned out that the order was wrong order. Not only was I missing a drink but I had someone else's order. When he complained they told him to go back through drive-thru. One of the workers was laughing in the background. Also, he refused to pay as well because they quoted two different prices. $19 at first and then suddenly it was $26. This is unacceptable. Of course he left and we will not be going back to this Del Taco. Not to mention this is not the first or third time that they screwed up on our orders. It's obvious that there needs to be adequate training along with customer service skills. It shouldn't matter if shifts are being changed the customer at hand should be service with excellence.

THEY DO NOT GIVE RECEIPTS!!! Warning if you're paying with card here. I just sent this message to their corporate office after the horrendous experience I just had. I normally wouldn't care, but the woman I spoke to was so unbelievably rude. For anyone else interested, their corporate number is 1 (800) 852-7204, I just left a message and plan to call again tomorrow. Also, WE NEED RECEIPTS. I've sent this to their corporate office and I plan to complain every where I can, including the better business bureau. I don't know if there is anything that can be done to remedy this, but that's how upset I am. Briana had a chance to make things right and apologize but instead decided to escalate things.
