We Sat down ordered our food. The party behind us ordered after us. Another party came in & Sat down at the counter. It was taking a little longer than usual for our food to come out. It was busy, yet the table behind us their food was served. The party at the counter received their food. The waitress tells us our order was mixed up back there, but it was coming. I ordered a GRILLED CHEESE. The food comes, I'm looking at the sandwich. Someone notices that I'm looking at it. She asked, "do you want the cheese melted?" Huh? It's supposed to be melted. She takes it, brings it back and says the sandwich is hot, you wanted it hot! I believe the sandwich was put in the microwave. I asked her, she said she didn't know. The bread was so hard, the cheese was melted onto the plate. I was surprised at the preparation of the sandwich. Waste of money!

Pros: the waitress was niceNeutral: the prices and it’s a classic diner styleCons: the food. OMG the food. Chorizo and egg came out ice cold with no flavor. The “spicy” omelette with Serrano pepper had no seasoning and a tiny grilled pepper on the side. Plus a thick platic sliced cheese on top. Only edible because we were starving from a road-trip. My son couldn’t eat his burger it was so bad and when they asked him what was wrong he said he didn’t like a specific ingredient he asked not to have on. The waitress said it was the kitchens fault because it was out in right.The only reason for 2 stars is they did offer to make something else. We needed to get on the road plus the food was awful. Would have been kinder to take the burger off and charge for a side of fries.

Places like Georgia's original bun and burger are a dying breed. First things first when coming here, come hungry. I've never left this establishment not feeling like I needed to loosen a button or two. Everything at this spot is also homemade and delicious. I've yet to try anything that is subpar. My personal recommendations are the burgers, on my last stop I had the pastrami burger with which I added cheese and grilled onions. Also a word of warning as well this joint has a large group of regular patrons so also come patient as there is limited space that may require you to wait. Wholeheartedly recommend this old fashion diner that I fervently hope continues to provide us Covina locals with delicious comfort food to imbibe in for decades to come.
