i want to LOVE this place. but i don’t. i just “like” it; and while that may be enough for Chicas, i feel they can do so much better. the chips at this place are just terrible. too hard and crunching and kinda on the stale side. i’ve been here enough times to know that it’s just how their chips are. i feel chips are such an important part of mexican fare, that they should be excellent. these chips are just boring. Do yourself a favor, a bag of tostitos will be more cost effective and leave you munching the whole bag.guacamole…. way too much salt. people don’t need high blood pressure. if you take half of the salt out it would still taste great but would be a hell of a lot healthier and would keep me ordering it. the same regarding the salsa.chips salsa and guacamole are table stakes. they should be perfect at a minimum.owners and share holders, taste your product and then your competitors and adapt please.

got the market burrito (steak) combo. honestly kind of a bland burrito. disappointing cuz i was pretty hungry and ready to eat something delicious. person i was with got the same, a market burrito, and agreed that it was lacking flavor.

Always great food. Love the enchilada bowl. chicken and beef. I didn't see it on the menu. But, you must ask for it.

I really enjoyed the tacos, however I think I got ripped off. Unless I misread something...I came in on a Tuesday, and ordered the Tuesday special: 3 taco combo with a horchata. For $16 I think it was?But another tuesday special was $3 tacos. So the combo is $9 worth of tacos plus a drink worth $4, a $13 value for 16. I won't factor in the $.50 upcharge I thought I saw for the pork taco, might have been just a POS machine error or there may have been fine print. But the missing 3 dollars of value, where are they?mayybe the combo was good all day and the $3 tacos were only happy hour? I can't verify my experience because they don't list their Tuesday deals anywhere online. The other combos come with chips and salsa, which would have removed $2.50 of the discrepancy had they been included in my order. Not sure if they were supposed to or not.edit: no, I went back and looked at the Tuesday specials poster and indeed I was correct.

LA is the home of good tacos that can be found pretty affordably and then you have Chica's. I've tried Chica's on a few occasions and have never been blown away considering the price. It's certainly a little more expensive than your average taco, but always missing a little something. It does the job if you're in the area and want tacos, but Culver City alone has better options. It's a popular chain for a reason, but not for everyone I guess.I ordered the fish taco and the barbacoa. Compared to somewhere like Guisados, I think it lacked a bit of freshness and flavor. I think both felt a bit short of my expectations.

I tried the mushroom burrito and horchata at this place , and too much of quinoa is killing the burrito , I believe they should add black beans , with red rice and salsa., which could add better flavor, I personally didn't like the burrito. Horchata was good though.

Great affordable prices for quality!! Fish tacos were huge! They actually forgot to add the salsa so it tasted a bit off. Should have realized it! But all in all still delicious with a perfect crunch.Nachos were also fantastic with the different cheeses and spicyyy salsa. The scallions were a new thang I never thought tot try on loaded nachos but it compliments it very well.Parking: easy if you park at the huge plaza where sprouts is. Less than a 5-10 min walk. Otherwise streeet/metered parking and paid parking structures all over downtown

I wanted to like this place but the value just isn't there for me.I'll give it to them that this is a convenient and quick option. I ordered through their online system for pick up and they were very on time with having it ready. The location is easy to find with seating in and out. But for over $4 for a single taco, this is steep. I get this isn't street tacos but what you get isn't impressive enough to justify. The braised beef is tender but not eye opening cause I can easily find other places with a much better value that are still very flavorful and doing a good job with making their tacos.

Food is pretty bland, especially for the high price. You're just paying for the atmosphere and location, but not worth it.
