“Whenever we have people coming from out of state or out of the country, we always bring them here. We like bragging about Honey's Kettle and everyone we bring here likes their food. I personally cannot remember what the chicken tastes like but everyone I know loves it.. and the biscuit and honey, it's to die for! I recently tried the spicy catfish sandwich, I was so adamant on trying it since I hate the flavor of the catfish, but I don't mind ordering it again.My nieces are from the Philippines have eaten a good amount of chicken from all the countries they have visited, they said the biscuits are incomparable. The flavor of the chicken is very different from other chicken places they have tried and they loved it!!!“
“I enjoy fried chicken, although I'm no expert. I've visited this place twice, and in my opinion, the quality is decent, the portion size is reasonable, but the bread isn't that great. However, I do feel it's a bit pricey for what you receive.“
“I’ve been following some of the reviews of this establishment and thought I’d check it out for myself. I ordered the 4 wings lunch which consisted of fries and potato salad. I also ordered a side of mac and cheese.First off I tried the potato salad which was really good . However, I will mention that the potato salad came in the same small container as the order of hot sauce and probably was no more than a tablespoon sample. If you want the potato salad then I would recommend getting a side order of it. I was a little disappointed though that I paid $21 for my order and the potato salad came in this small container.The mac n cheese was a little lacking in seasoning but cheesy nevertheless which I like. Overall it was good. The cheesy won over the lack on seasoning.The wings looked really good. They were freshly made and crispy, juicy and hot which I like. However the wings were a little bit too salty for my taste. I even noticed the excess salt sprinkled on my chicken wings. The fries complimented the wings but the saltiness took away from the flavor in my opinion. However, the hot sauce definitely made the wings more flavorful for me. Overall they were good but I would recommend easing off the salt a little bit to allow for the flavor of the chicken to shine!Would I go back, yes but I will be more critical if my chicken is just as salty as it was on during my first visit.“

“This "Angels Bowl" (essentially a deconstructed hot chicken sandwich with bread swapped for crinkle fries) was everything I had hoped it would be. As a transplant who regularly grumbles at the cost-to-quality/portion size ratio of Hollywood restaurants, I feel this was good value. 2nd highest spice level was enough to get this Midwest-Polish boy sweating, but happy-sweating. Friendly staff. I'll be back.“
“We ordered the hot chicken sandwich & hot tenders with fries and the elder flower lemonade. I like spicy, so i ordered the hot & wow, it was extraordinary. The burn is bold but also very nuanced & complex. To my delight, it was so spicy, I had to space out my consumption of it over a couple of days. The great news is, it still tasted great cold the next day. That pillowy bun held up & that beautiful fresh slaw was still crisp. The tenders were a similar ride, but seemed like it had a different breading, less battery than the sandwich, but worked great, totally tasty. This place has great chicken, hands down impressive. The fries were just okay, but that's not really why you're going to this place. Point of personal preference, I always want cold standard ranch when I'm enjoying hot chicken to cool things off. Both ranch like offerings from Day Bird (daybird sauce & jabanero ranch) contain a fair amount of hot pepper as well, so they don't really bail you out in the clutch. Thankfully, as we had to try a bite in the parking lot before we drove home, the elder flower lemonade was also delicious, and helped counter the instant burn. Over loved it. Will bring friends back to enjoy some more soon.“

“this is one of the better hot chicken combos i've ever had even after getting it delivered. the mild sandwich is a true mild and the fry on the chicken is perfect, not greasy. slaw is perfectly vinegary and the sauce that comes on the sandwich and with the fries is perfect. the sandwich was so neatly constructed which i always appreciate and fries were crispy, so good with the sauce.“
“I went to finally try this spot on a Thursday for $2 tenders. Ordered 2 cool (less than mild), 2 glow (mild), and 2 spark (medium). They all came out looking the same and once I tried it all, there wasn't much of a difference in spice level. I could've tried the next tier after Spark --- I think .The batter was great - loved the crunch and crispyness of it.I thought they would've been stingy about the $2 tenders but the size of the tenders were a good size.Staff was nice and efficient for a busy Thursday lunchtime. There's outdoor seating if you can't find a spot inside.“
