Came here a while ago and I still haven't had a better Jamaican pasta since then. Best pasta I've had hands down! Service was fantastic, our waitress was so nice I wish would've gotten her name! 10/10 would recommend :)

The chef Garry fixed my food I had curry goat first time I ever had boneless goat it was very flavorful. The service was ok, the waitress never checked on me but once because my drink was off and she made a new one.Parking: Had to find parking and the light to turn onto Main Street is a nightmare I sat there 10 min waiting for a turn finally just got out turning lane went down some blocks and over to come back up

The curry chicken was awesome! The ox tails was fabulous! The sampler appetizer platter was very good! The ting soda is so good and if you add it to vodka you are living the life! Thank you for a fabulous evening!

Ambiance: it's a family style Jamaican food place located in downtown Culver City, lack of maintenance, lots of tables and chairs were way over-worn with cracks and stains, which should have been replaced Service: friendly although it took a while to place order and get the food served Food: plenty choices on their regular menu JAMAICAN SAMPLER - ** PLANTAINS too dry, JERK CHIX regular fried chicken topped with spicy sauce, not authentic, FRIED SHRIMP tasty, FRIED ONION RINGS average OXTAILS - *** TENDER PIECES OF JUICY BEEF OXTAILS, COOKED IN A SPECIAL BLEND OF HERBS AND SPICES, served with two sides choices of DERRICKS HEALING GREENS steamed kales, RICE AND BEANS mixed, the oxtail was tasty though it could have been cooked a bit longer Price: medium portions and no doubt overpriced for their mediocre food quality, expect about $35 per person

I've been looking for a Jamaican restaurant since I moved to LA last year and this place was great. Ordered the oxtail dish which was excellent. Great portions and good rice and peas. Look forward to coming back.

I ordered a sampler to go. I didn't receive the correct items ( got onion rings instead of fried zucchini ) and there was hardly anything but the onion rings I didn't order and plantains that weren't cooked.

Best food - Caribbean or any other type of food! Delicious! The chicken was so tender that it just fell off the bone. The okra was cooked perfectly. It was a PERFECT birthday treat. They even sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me with a chocolate cupcake. Can hardly wait to go back.

Food is mediocre. service is fine. ambiance is cold visually and physically....too bright and very cold inside. Jerk chicken was swimming in a sweet sauce and not spicy as expected. chicken pieces were small too. rice n beans was not fresh and tasted stale. kale used to be good, buttery and spicy, but that's changed since first time I tried this place. beef patty was bland, plantains were ok and not very flavorful, macaroni balls were great. my guess is business is struggling to stay open and is sacrificing their food quality to do so, never a good idea.

Honestly the best food I've ever had. I live around the corner and this place is never packed but deserves to be. Insane

Although I understand everyone's recipes are different, I've had better Caribbean food. I ordered the jerk chicken, which came with collared greens and rice. I also ordered a side of plantains. The chicken was decently flavorful but the pieces were so tiny, compared to leg and thigh pieces from a grocery store. The rice lost me on this place unfortunately. It has the exact same texture and blandness as El Pollo Loco. And collard greens were fine. The plantains were delish. It was perfectly caramelized and had crispy edges. It was the only saving grace for me. I was conveniently in the area at the time and craving flavorful food, but I don't think I'll be coming back. For better flavor, quality, and huge portions, check out Caribbean Gourmet in San Gabriel.

Pretty nice Caribbean food place. Came on a Friday evening and it was easy to get a table. I parked at culver city steps which is free for 1hr then 50 cents every 30 minutes after. We got the Jamaican sampler which was a good way to test out flavors. For main dish I got the Jerk Chix + Shrimp combo with white rice and mashed potatoes. Overall the chicken and shrimp were fantastic. Very juicy and flavorful. The rice was standard. Mashed potatoes were a little uninspired but nothing wrong with them, just didn't have any sauce or anything. Overall I really liked it, only real complaint is it was a little pricey for what we got but perhaps to be expected of the area.

It was suggested by family. Dropped my bags at the hotel and walked over. You’re transported to a local restaurant roadside in Jamaica. Bright colored walls and artwork. Cute bar decorated with raffia. I was so hungry, we ordered a lot. Our server was very patient and helped us with ordering.Rice and beans were vegetarian nice portion and tasty. Jerk tenders taste more like a light bbq sauce. Large sautéed vegetables. My favorite were the fried shrimp. Well seasoned and golden brown. 3 large crab cakes golden brown. Food is cooked to order.Friendly StaffStreet parkingIndoor outdoor seatingGrade AVegetarian options: Rice and beansKaleMixed vegetablesPlantains
