Just not what it used to be. If Shavani reads this, I'm sorry I didn't say so when you asked me if I still came in very often last time you were there. I should have favored honestly over friendlyness. The food that time was actually better than it had been in a while, probably because one of the original owners was in there. The naan was still bad. I went back fairly soon this time because it was good last time. This time, the rice was all chunky and stuck together, like obviously smooth where it congeled on the bottom, entres were ok but the naan is all wrong again. They had old naan sitting wrapped in foil on top of the oven (basically steaming itself, used to be cooled to order). They had one left and I ordered two, so I had to wait for the guy to come out of the kitchen and make another batch. I asked if I could have two fresh naans since I had to wait for one of them to be cooked anyway and the girl behind the counter insisted that the last waiting one she pulled from the top of the stove was "fresh" and refused to give me a fresh one. When I got home, one was cripsy and mostly fluffy, and the other was flat AF and soggy. Hmmm... When I called to tell them that it's not right to do that to customers, the manager said that they make all the naan to order and that what I'm describing coudln't have possibly happened lol. They've been batch cooking the naan for at least a year. This is not the first time the "manager" has insisted they aren't doing what they are doing with bald faced lies. I've had a couple issues with this when I've complained about the decline in service and food quality. Sorry Shivani and Monte, I wish I could give a more positive review, but the place just isn't as good as it was when you guys were there.

I definitely have gone here way to many times! The food is excellent, and you can't beat the price!

They gave us burnt naan and packaged our food so carelessly that most of it spilled all over the bag and in the car. We didn't notice all these unfortunate issues until we got home. So most of the food was inedible. The 10% of food that was salvageable tasted ok but the aforementioned issues left a bad taste in our mouth.

Service was terrible. Woman was rude and very immature. Food has gone downhill.

During my recent trip to LA, amidst the hustle and bustle of a conference, I found a culinary haven at Samosa House. This place is a gem that serves up some of the most comforting Indian food I've encountered on this side of the globe. Perhaps it was the pangs of hunger or just the sheer quality of their offerings, but my experience there was nothing short of delightful. From the moment my coworker and I stepped in, drawn by the need for a satisfying yet affordable meal, we were met with warmth and smiles that felt welcoming in the vastness of Los Angeles. Our culinary adventure began with a selection that promised a rich tapestry of flavors – the dosa, sambar, two chutneys, and chaat were our picks, aiming to quench our craving for authentic Indian cuisine. The dosa was a revelation. Crisp on the outside, yet tender within, it was a perfect canvas for the lush, spicy sambar and the duo of chutneys that accompanied it. One chutney, a bright coconut concoction, offered a creamy, sweet contrast, while the other, a tangy tomato-based delight, added a kick that invigorated the palate. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, masterfully balanced to highlight the dosa's simplicity and the complexity of its accompaniments. The chaat, a street food favorite, was equally impressive. A riot of textures and tastes, it was an explosion of tangy, spicy, and sweet notes that danced together in perfect harmony. Every forkful was a surprise, revealing layers of potatoes, chickpeas, crispy dough, yogurt, and tamarind sauce, all sprinkled with vibrant spices that awakened the senses. While the vada pav didn't quite hit the mark, falling short of the memories of street side Mumbai treats, it was still a decent attempt compared to other iterations I've tried in the States. This slight misstep was easily forgiven, overshadowed by the overall excellence of the meal.Exploring different locations of Samosa House over three days, I found a comforting consistency in their food that spoke volumes of their commitment to quality and authenticity. Samosa House, with its generous portions, impeccable flavors, and budget-friendly prices, left me more than satisfied – it made me a "happy baby," content with the discovery of a place that felt like home. The experience was a reminder of the power of good food to connect us to places and memories, making Samosa House a must-visit for anyone seeking the heart and soul of Indian cuisine in Southern California.

Their combo plate was a great option and they also have beers :)I deff loved that it is an authentic and did not take a long time because the options are in front of you. Great for lunch on the go or to dine in.

Ordered samosas to go. They cooked now ones. Or maybe they refried old ones. Got home and they are over done and swimming in oil, there was more oil that spilled in the bag. How can anyone serve something like this?

love samosa house! Sometimes a little too spicy though - so can be hit and miss if you like a milder heat. The samosas used to be the best - nice and crispy, but they've changes them so they're not as great anymore sadly.

Love this location, it isn't as big as the other one but the food always seems to be better. The veggie chicken is super yummy and the charbroiled cauliflower. I love that it is all veggie, and it is reasonable.

Very good food and service. Abu was very attentive and knew what we needed before we did throughout dinner. One of the top Indian spots in town.

This was our absolute favorite 10 years ago! We'd have lunch here three times a week. We visited on a Sunday 2/11 4pm (2 people in the restaurant). The samosas were still amazing! The roasted cauliflower is still the best. But the chicken meatballs were so hard and dry, the garlic naan tasted like a cold, but burnt pita with almost no garlic. I thought I could save it with the raita but it tasted like it was about to spoil. I hope it was just a bad day.

Can't comment on service or atmosphere but we used to love how the food tasted a few years ago. I don't know what happened but they probably need to bring the old cook back because now the food doesn't taste good.
