The ambience could be SO MUCH BETTER if they would turn off a massive TV (untuned into a game show, and on mute), that NO ONE was watching. Otherwise it could be cute French bistro-like. Food is pretty good (depending on what you order), waitress was attentive but not overly. Though wearing a large furry coat and their long hair down while working (odd). Beef dish and green beens were good. Burger, asparagus and onion soup were excellent! Skip the risotto and the tapenade w bread. Love that took our last min reservation!

My friend were looking for someplace different for dinner (we're locals) and we decided to try a new (for us) restaurant in Culver City so we choose Simonette. It' a very pretty place and the hostess and waitstaff were friendly and attentive. I had the bass which was fine with a side of asparagus. Since asparagus is in season I don't know why my asparagus wasn't thinner and more delicate - it was quite thick but I was relieved that the taste was fine. My friend ordered the chicken which was dry and tasteless. She ate very little and took most of it home to her two dogs. My friend let the waitress know that the chicken was dry and she was given a 10% discount on her meal. Maybe we'll come for drinks sometime since it's a very pretty place, but I doubt that we'll be back for dinner.

Went for brunch. Croque Madame was delicious. Disappointed that they don't have drip coffee, only an Americano. Enjoyed the meal, but service was slow & not very attentive.

The food was okay but not memorable. We had the filet with peppercorn but there were no peppercorns in the sauce. The filet was good and cooked properly but if you're going to add a sauce on top it should live up to the description of it. We asked for water but didn't realize it would be bottled and cost $12.

The hash was meh. I expect hash to include little pieces of potatoes and meat. This hash was more of a creamy stew with 3 or 4 very small whole potatoes. It was served with a fork. I had to order bread to sop up the sauce. The fish was okay. A tiny bit fishy ? The service was good. I would try again, but I would order something different. On street parking near the restaurant is by permit only. Valet parking is available.

The host was unhappy and aggravated upon arriving. The service was terrible. Took forever just to get water and our drinks. Food took even longer and there are only a handful of tables. The food was great. Only reason why I would consider going back for a third visit is that the mussels fries are yummy.

Such an amazing hidden gem. Culver City is "the spot" but if you don't venture of the boulevard you'd never be aware of this place. Went there for happy hour and it was legit

I have been to Simonette several times, and always enjoyed the vibe and the food, so I was excited to see they were offering an Easter brunch. I made a reservation for 6 people for the courtyard patio. When we arrived, we were seated in front of the restaurant on the sidewalk, instead of the inside courtyard, because "it rained last night" and the courtyard was closed (although for some reason, they were able to open it later that same morning). Being in front meant it took FOR EVER to get anything. It literally took over an hour from the time we ordered, until we actually got any food. Given that there was a limited fixed menu for brunch, you'd think they would have things a little more locked down. One of the items on the menu was "Avocado Toast - house marmelade, chili crunch". My husband actually ordered this *because of* the chili crunch. When we all got our orders (most of us ordered the avocado toast), it was the one they normally do, with alfalfa sprouts, ceci beans and lemon. We even asked several staff members about it, and were ultimately told that the kitchen doesn't even have any "chili crunch" and they don't know why that was written on the menu. Being in front of the restaurant on the street also meant that we were FREEZING. There was a strong wind the entire time. There were two heaters out there, but only one was working because the other was empty, and no one seemed to be able to replace the gas canister. And again, since we were in front of the restaurant on the sidewalk, and barely got any waiter's attention, we were not offered refills on our coffees to at least try to warm up. In fact, members of our group had to go inside *several times* to request refills, follow up on orders, etc. Prior to this experience, I would have recommended Simonette to anyone. After this, I wouldn't. So disappointing. I would have actually spoken to a manager at the time, but we were told the manager didn't show up that day.

Service was excellent and food was pretty good. We came during happy hour and were pleased with the half price burgers although very messy. A nice quick meal if you’re attending a show at the nearby theatre.Parking: Underground paid lot- Culver Steps Garage or valet at the hotel

Had a 9am reservation. Hostess said to sit anywhere. At 9:20 I approached the one server I saw and asked if I could get service. He said he'd be right over. 12 minutes later he arrived. No apology and when asked how long we should expect to wait for our food he was unhelpful. So we decided to go elsewhere. On the way out when the sweet hostess said she hoped we'd enjoyed our meal we let her know we hadn't even been offered coffee in our time there. She asked where we had sat and when I pointed to the section she suggested that my choice of seating had been the issue. I reminded her that she told me to sit anywhere. She was apologetic and sweet. We went around the corner to a French bakery and everything was perfect.
