There is a long mosaic hand-made collage on the counter, which depicts a vibrant community. In addition to the colorful colors that make people feel warm, the design elements also bring books in and integrate them into the community; as if to tell Everyone, this is a community bookstore that connects the emotions between people in the community through books.Opposite the bookstore is Culver City City Hall. The bookstore has large floor-to-ceiling windows and the interior space is spacious and bright. On weekends, you will see parents bringing their children to the bookstore to have breakfast and read children's books. The bookstore also holds many activities. Today I was very lucky to meet the big doll DOG MAN. Everyone was super happy to see him Everything in his eyes was a group of people A group of friends are chatting here. The bookshelves are full of notes recommending certain books by the store clerks, which is super considerate The display of the bookshelf is also designed and very pleasing to the eye.It provides breakfast, coffee drinks, pastries, books, gifts, cards and a seating area so that everyone can dine and read here. I also saw many parents reading children's books to their children here; the chairs in the seating area are very comfortable and the atmosphere Very nice, the waiters are super friendly and the freshly brewed coffee and brownies are amazing! I love it here and highly recommend it!

I love this place. I wish I lived a smidge closer! Highly recommend checking their calendar: they have book signings, music/acoustic nights, board game nights, and more! Cute little cafe area, great book selection, solid board game corner, and the staff are wonderful. A great community spot - please support your local small businesses! :)

The Village Well has a wonderful vibe, great coffee & grub, and their bookshelves are curated with care and a personal touch--- I love to know what their staff is reading, what they like and why. VW includes bookcases specializing in local history and areas focused on local authors, which I love. For such a small space, they pack a lot into their shelves without producing a feeling of crowdedness. Display books catch the eye, and the shelves invite you to browse deeper. When I order books online, I love getting a friendly email with updates about my order. The staff is friendly and upfront (such as when a book is back-ordered). I've attended a fair few events here--- Women's Open Mic and Game Nights with Heroes' Workshop--- and the events have always been well-organized and fun, which is no small feat. This is a favorite spot to have coffee with friends (where the conversation never runs dry--- we just need to look around and find something new and fascinating to discuss!). I love ordering books from here and also browsing to find something new and exciting. Amazing place. Long live the Village Well!

The coffee it's delicious and I found many cute things, like cards, funny stickers and an incredibly book that I just started to read while enjoying my tea and obviously take it home back to Mexico ! For sure I'm coming back.

Great book store, solid coffee options. Only downside is that the tables are often crowded, but probably because it is a great space.

Beautiful neighborhood bookstore and coffee shop. Large selection of books with recommendations.Staff are friendly, and the vibe is good.We come here a lot with our laptops to work, and it’s nice to sit on that long table next to everyone else. Their coffee is pretty good, our usual order is Latte.

the village well is my absolute go-to for study days, remote work, coffee dates, and meeting up with friends for a chill day out. the space is super cozy and airy, and while it can get pretty competitive to find a spot, it's totally worth the wait. the coffee's pretty decent ( i don't really drink coffee so can't really say more than that ) and the baristas are super nice. great curated selection of books and cute birthday cards. good amount of outlets too !

Such a terrific selection of books - I was here only for 30 minutes and found 10 books that piqued my interest, probably due to the organization and display of various books! There’s also a coffee shop so many people were working next to the bookshelves.

Incredible place! Every time I go, I fall in love. The people working are all friendly, happy to help, and so very clearly love books as well. The selection is varied and the personal reviews are a great touch. It really feels like a little sanctuary in the city.

Great spot! I came around 11am on a Sunday for a book club meeting with my friends and it was super cute. We ordered drinks at the cafe. Seating was somewhat limited as it's a busy and popular spot on the weekends, we luckily found a spot inside.

We have been here several times It is a very cute little bookstore with pleasant staff Other customers, like myself, purchase coffee, muffins etc and sit to enjoy (while working on that book you've been meaning to finish) It truly is an enjoyable spot......see for yourself

Independent book store, which is great. Staff are friendly and will look something up to check stock if you know the title. I can’t say what the coffee shop is like as every time I have gone there is nowhere to sit. It’s mostly one long communal table with people sitting opposite each other taking up as much space as possible. Almost every single person is on their laptop and treating the place like a library. They get one drink to last in perpetuity and act like it’s their office. Even if you could get a seat you wouldn’t feel comfortable using the table as a cafe spot. Especially if you went with a friend for a coffee or a snack you wouldn’t feel comfortable to chat. They give people dirty looks like you are encroaching on their space. Use the library or buy more drinks to at least make up for fact you are taking away business. I’d happily have a couple of drinks and a sandwhich and would not overstay, if I could only get a seat. Atmosphere is the sitting area is very hostile (I’ve seen it to others who dare sit down and try and just have a coffee and quiet conversation) and full of arrogant, entitled, pompous people. It is not a library or a WeWork. Business like this fail because of these free loading posers (they can clearly afford to support the shop and buy more) using the free wi fi and not purchasing more than one cup for hours on end.

cozy and cute bookstore/cafe in culver city studyability: seats are limited, but ive never not found a spot to sit. tables and couch chairs available. good music, not too loud, but sometimes people talking can get loud. FREE WIFI! limited outlets. drinks: very decent matcha latte! a little pricey, but nothing unusual for LA food: avocado toast is mehh, but ive heard the sandwiches are decent. its nice that they have actual food and pastries for whatever mood you're in bathrooms: clean and accessible bathrooms! parking: street parking or lowk can park at the post office lot right next door
