I liked this place for the taro matcha. I really tried to give it many chances. However the owner is just rude. His behavior is reminiscent of the one of my teenage daughter's - the constant eye rolling, awkward starting and long silence, snarky comments you name it! It is all there! It all started when I asked to add a bit of oatmilk to my coffee, since I have digestive issues and can't drink black coffee straight. He refused, saying that (and I quote) "he doesn't ALLOWED anything added to his coffee". Then when I still tried to ask for a bit of milk on the side, he said that he will "watch me and make sure I am not adding it to my drink". My friend that was shocked at this treatment said that she wants some oatmilk for her on the side then and he said "I will watch both of you, and if I see you give her the oatmilk, I will ask you both to leave". This was completely unprofessional and weird.I was coming back for the taro matchas regardless, because it is close to my place and every time the treatment was rude and unwelcoming. The last straw was today - I collected rewards for a free drink from buying a $9 taro matcha many times. I tried to redeem it for a free matcha, and the owner said (in a rude tone) that I can only redeem it for a $3.5 worth house coffee.Anyway, never coming back to this placeEDIT - reading the other reviews, the owner actually used the F word on one of the customers, so I guess I need to consider myself lucky that he didn't use it on me ??‍♀️

Red velvet coffee is delicious also their grilled cheese is off the hook. It's always crowded and you can never find somewhere to sit down but then that it's amazing.

I'm a fan of the black sesame latte. I had a terrific twice baked almond croissant as well.Friendly service. The place has atmosphere and lots of visual stimulation.I liked the quirky Hours of Operation too.

They provide more artisanal or local coffee experiences. Very reliable coffee option with a diverse menu. I am not a coffee person but I loved the rose latte! Ambiance is great! would highly recommend to everyone to visit

Awesome coffee! Got the gesha pourover and it was extracted perfectly! Got a bright, juicy cup that tasted excellent. The miso latte was also quite interesting with a small pinch of unami and richness. Paired really well with the coffee.A bit tight on seating, and the spot can get pretty busy. Not the ideal location to get work done or expect a seat for an hour or two. Much better as a quick grab and go spot.Overall, they know their coffee and they know their coffee drinks! Would recommend!

Absolutely delicious coffee every time! One of the best and most flavorful cappuccinos in the Bay. Love all the witty decorations and plants.

I didn’t feel welcome at this cafe. I came in an hour before closing and the barista/owner seemed annoyed I was there. He impatiently told me he was closing in half an hour, which made me feel very uncomfortable sitting down.At 4:40pm (their posted closing is 5:00pm) he told everyone to leave. Then, not even giving us one minute to pack up, he TURNED THE LIGHTS OFF and rudely told us all to leave again.Definitely not coming back here. Only reason my review is two stars is because my drink was pretty good (taro matcha latte).

Looking for a new place to stop and work. House black coffee was decent, has the nice tart cherry taste from good beans. The place looks cool when you walk in. If you plan on working here while you enjoy your coffee you will be in for a rude awakening. The WiFi was so slow and you're provided with a code with a 1 device limit. I seriously have not experienced anything like that in like 10 years. I probably won't be back here as the staff wasn't very welcoming and the experience was lacking.

Great Espresso, ordered a flat white, nice complex tasting milk espresso. Sightglass beans and immaculate technique used to pull elegant shots. Great find, near to my vacation flat. It's hard being away from my own machine, but Bitter + Sweet will sub nicely.Looks like this is a spot for putting jigsaw puzzles together and having a good time with friends, there are comfy stuffed chairs, a large communal table and a raised bar with seats and outdoor tables. There are no signs from the street and it's tucked back into a business complex. Worth it to find though. As I got to experience the coffee and the personalities behind the coffee, I have gotten to realise that this coffee shop is unique and special. The staff and owner are professional but also friendly and when I go back to the bay area I will seek out this shop. Great coffee and great experiences here.

The espresso here is great. Good beans, great technique. It’s what keeps me coming a couple times a month. The problem: I always feel like an inconvenience. Whether my questions about a new drink, payment method, or something else.

The interior was small but cozy. The miso latte was quite an experience. It's salty, fragrant and delicious, though my brain kept on expecting for a missing tofu in the next sip. Highly recommend a try. Service was expected per a regular coffee shop. I do see frequent customers chatting with the owner.

Love this cute little coffee shop! They have a decent amount of seating if you wanted to stick around & work on stuff. Parking is dependent on day/time since they share a lot with surrounding businesses, but we've never had any issues. Service is always quick.Their coffee is so good! My fiancé really loves their red velvet latte & it always comes out looking super cute bc of the red color. I usually alternate between their rose or lavender latte depending on my mood. Both are yummy! The rose is subtly fragrant & complements the espresso really nicely.

Medium Coffee Medium Barrister...the bubbles on the almond milk give it away ;) better then Starbucks for sure.

Bitter + Sweet in Cupertino is a cozy gem for coffee lovers. The cafe's warm and inviting atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. Their coffee is rich and satisfying, and the dessert selection is a sweet delight. The friendly staff adds to the charm, making it a wonderful place for a coffee break or indulgent treat. It's a local favorite that's definitely worth a visit. Please try their red velvet latte!
