We came here on a Thursday night and it was pretty chill. There were patrons and I don't know if we came on an off night, but the drinks were super unbalanced. We ordered two rounds of drinks and 2 out of 3 of us couldn't bring ourselves to finish both drinks. Maybe we had higher expectations since we came from Orchard City Kitchen earlier that evening, but we were utterly disappointed. It is my first and last time there. I've always wondered about this place, but reality killed my cat and any desire to revisit. The service was okay and the bartender was nice. We had comfy seats. However, I came for drinks and learned my $100 lesson. lol.

We stayed at the hotel next to this bar and were pleasantly surprised by our find. Loved the outdoor openess , dressed with a modern flair. Staff was super attentive as they crafted their custom drinks. Noticed great little accents in our drinks with the various dried fruit garnishes. These added little notes of flavor to our cocktails that was quite nice. The food looked great and our salty crispy fries was the perfect pairing to a late evening .

My friends and I decided to stop by Gentry Bar & Eatery for some drinks and snacks. I had an overall positive experience and would not hesitate to come back again. It's too bad that indoor seating isn't allowed yet, because it's quite impressive inside especially with its long bar and giant liquor wall. I didn't realize that Gentry was connected to Residence Inn by Marriott until I had to use the restroom, but Gentry could totally stand on its own as a separate restaurant and bar. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Saturday. It wasn't that busy, so we were able to snag a table in the outdoor patio that was comfortably far enough from the the only other guests, which was a large party. Service was excellent. There was only one employee at the time, and she wore many hats as the hostess, server, and bartender. She was very friendly and helpful, and I thought she did a great job in taking care of both parties. Furthermore, we were told that there was also only one employee on the cooking staff at the time, yet we were able to get our food in such a timely manner. Granted we only got two order of fries, but hey, quick delivery is always welcome. I am a huge fan of Kennebec fries, so I was excited to see them on the menu. There is something special about Kennebec potatoes, man. They have a lighter/less dense constitution, which I like about them. Gentry didn't have any ranch, but our server was able to provide us with a buttermilk chive dressing that nailed it anyway. I don't remember what the name of my cocktail was, but it was made with scotch. The drink had unique flavor combination and an astringent (dry/puckering) taste. I found it enjoyable. I tried a bit of the Bee's Knees, which my sister ordered. Solid cocktail as well. It was tart but had a nice sweetness from the honey. The sprinkle of floating, edible lavender was a nice touch. I thought it was cool how Gentry would give the proceeds from Bee's Knees to supporting bee preservation. I'm all for that!

Craft cocktails at the Residence Inn? Who would have thought. Per current county orders, you must order at least one food item with your drinks, so we shared the sea salt fries. A handful of the fries had the rotten eye intact. Not very good quality control in the kitchen. The drinks are very nicely presented. The constellation prize tasted like children's dimetapp. Yuck. The bee's knees was solid, and also eye catching with pretty bits of lavender sprinkled on top. I'd def order that again. A pretty ample outdoor patio area, which was nice and not overly crowded on a Saturday night.

I met up with about 15 friends to celebrate my birthday over drinks and appetizers. It's in a nice complex with lots of parking. The bar wasn't too packed so it was definitely a good time for our group. I enjoyed all the whiskey-based mixed drinks I had here. Regarding food, I especially liked the sliders. The service was good and fast enough for a large group. I'd definitely go here again!

The only food we ordered were the chips and guac but I LOVED the chips. I know they're just basic but they tasted like the most freshest chips I've ever had. They were perfectly salted and I just really enjoyed them. The vibes of this place are so cute. They were playing good music and the decor and set up makes it a chill place to go with friends. We grabbed some drinks. The waitress working there was friendly with a welcoming attitude. I highly recommend the Cancun Sunrise! We asked for pretty, tasty drinks and that's what we got. Only one I would stay away from is the Blue Hawaiian.. tasted like burnt rubber lol.

Came here for both drinks and food, relatively empty the few times I've been by. Crispy kale salad was tasty, some of the kale was ultra krispy and the other half wasn't, good balance I'd say. I would definitely add protein if this is gonna be your main meal. Otherwise perfect for sharing as an appetizer. Potato chips and onion dip tasted like upgraded ruffles with uber fresh onion dip. Would prob get only during HH in the future. The chips were okay, but the dip itself tasted fresh, flavorful, and not as heavy as it could be. Guac and chips were medicore. Nothing special, could pass on this next time. Could tell the ingredients were fresh though! Pasta a la gentry was delish. I don't usually care for pasta except a mad veggie lasagna or plain spaghetti, but this one hit the spot. All the ingredients were perfectly integrated into this dish - I could do without the cheese. Has a strong tomato base, but not overwhelming so, like a bisque would be. The pulled pork sliders were also delectable, I would crave this & order it next time. Comes with three sliders smothered in bomb aioli. And of course the drinks. Amongst the Vieux Carre (spirit forward and solid for an in between Old Fashioned - Manhattan lover), New York Sour (great for someone who wants to try out a whiskey cocktail), Clarified Milk Punch (Prob not what you'd imagine, try and discover for yourself!), House Old Fashioned (Less on the bold side, smooth vanilla finish, suitable for all!), and Bees Knees Fizz (not usually fan of sweet but this one was a good kind of sweet and the drink was still spirit forward with a lovely presentation) - I'd come back for a House Old Fashioned, NY Sour, and/or Bees Knees Fizz. Relaxed atmosphere, high tops indoors, couches, booths, and outdoor seating. Kinda something for everyone. Cheers!

Love the new remodel at Gentry. The drinks are still delicious. Great spot to meet up for drinks with friends where the music is not that loud!

Only came for drinks (and potato chips and dip) and thought the service was really good. There's limited tables but the atmosphere is nice and a good change in the area. Only had glasses of their wine, so can't speak to their cocktail choices. Potato chips and dip were tasty!

Very friendly bartenders and nice atmosphere! We ordered the old fashion and new york sour. Both excellent drinks, well crafted, and on the happy hour menu which lasts till 7pm.

The service was TERRIBLE from the get go. 1. We sit at the bar and wait an acceptable amount of time before approached and ordered our drinks/apps. 2. We waited awhile for our drinks but understood it was busy... then the bartender came up to us and said "you guys still doing okay?" Then saw we didn't have drinks and realized we were waiting on her. 3. Since she forgot our drinks, we asked if she had forgotten the appetizer which she of course had. We told her nevermind and asked for the check as we had just stopped in for a drink before our reservation at another restaurant. 4. She brought the check and didn't come back to the bar area for the entire rest of the time we were there even though we told her we wanted to check out quickly for our reservations. 5. I finally asked another bartender to close our tab. She handed it off to someone else who charged our card for someone else's meal.... and GAVE THAT PERSON OUR CREDIT CARD. luckily the girls who got our card were sitting near us and realized something was wrong and gave it back to us. SERIOUSLY. Gave our card to someone else and charged the wrong tab....... unacceptable. My card information could have been stolen with that kind of carelessness. The drinks were delicious and I definitely would return again if I hadn't had such a terrible experience with the service.

Obie was our bartender... check that... he was our mixologist. We came here after a lovely meatful dinner next door for some after dinner cocktails and Obie was more than up to the challenge. We presented him with a specific challenge of replicating a colorless Mai Tai the wifey had during our just completed trip to Hawaii... and Obie stepped up to to plate and delivered. On top of that, we went off-menu for the most of the night as Obie delivered drink after drink of mixology excellence. Would definitely come back again.

What a hidden gem! I consider myself someone who has had some unforgettable cocktails between New York and Los Angeles. This place came out of nowhere and i had one of the best drinks in the Bay Area. Try the Roses are Free. If you're looking for a laid back vibe and really delicious cocktail go here!
