It's pretty hard to mess up Korean street food in San Jose (a gold mine). But remember, that's what it is: street food. Ordering delivery will inevitably make it lukewarm and ruin half the fun.

Got the munchies for some Korean street food in the Bay Area? Look no further! JSJ Street Kitchen has everything, from classic kimchi fried rice to tornado potato on a stick! Be sure to come with an empty stomach cause you'll gain 10 lbs by the time you leave!

Just an FYI that I think jsj has closed down. I came today to their location and their posters are ripped down and there's a sign saying bbq chicken will be opening soon? So I'm not sure if they're going to be serving their items within bbq chicken or if it's a new restaurant now. Sincerely hoping they're not gone!

If you are a fan of Korean street food, this is the place for you. My friend recommended this place and finally got to try it. The tornado potato was really good. I wish they have more flavors as they only have onion and spicy. I would share the potato with a friend because it gets very salty after the first half. They have other items on the menu that I want to try and will come back for it! :)

Literally SO good!! Come hungry because you will want to order everything. The kimchi fried rice is bomb and you can’t go wrong with any of the hot dogs. Kiosk ordering made it quick and easy as well.

Aight, well, the original plan was to go over to Myungrang Hot Dog, but there was a crazy line and people were getting a little too close for comfort, and I dunno, maybe if there wasn't that pesky Global Pandemic going on, then I might have felt a little better, but anyway, we didn't go there, and found ourselves at JSJ Street Kitchen, where there was very decidedly NOT a giant line full of COVID! (However, across the way, there was a giant line for something, not sure, some sort of Tea House) So yeah, on with it - Yo, these cheese dogs are MUY LOCO [ very crazy]! Almost couldn't even finish one, because I could feel my heart clogging with all the greasy goodness that is this corndog thing. I should have got one with the Snausij, but I went with some cheese monster by the wild recommendation of my lovely lady partner. But her suggestion sucked, and now I wish I had gone with my fat gut and got the Snossige Dog. Donuts were hella good, as expected. If you haven't tried the Mochi Donuts that are apparently sweeping the nation, then you should probably just crawl right back under your rock, homie! I'll be back. So you can see me there! :D

If you're looking to be severely disappointed by the inconsistency in seasoning, JSJ Street Kitchen in Cupertino is the place to go. The potato tornado with spicy seasoning is a bomb of salt powder. Half the amount of seasoning would've been sufficient. The Rice Dog on the other hand tasted like absolutely nothing! I had high hopes for this junk food but this is a hard pass . Potato tornado with spicy seasoning, rice dog with potato crust

pre covid review jul 2019: We ordered the original cheese dog as well as their squid ink cheese dog. Original cheese dog is 5/5, very large and heavy LOL this was our favorite. They also had a sauce station where you can try different sauces! Squid ink cheese dog 3/5, it was good however it was not my favorite. It had a different distinct flavor to it which I could not describe.

I love the concept of this restaurant - Korean Street Food in one place. I found this while searching for Korean Corndogs. We tried the Stacked Sausage and Mozzarella Cheese, plus the one with Potato Batter and then the Squid Ink Batter. Overall they are all good and pretty filling. The cheese is softly melted inside. The option of sugar sprinkles is a must for better taste, especially when you add potato to the batter. I also ordered the Tornado potato. I enjoy eating this one. It's simple yet fun to eat. You have the choices for the sprinkles. My kids enjoyed their Boonguhbbang with Nutella filling. It tastes like pancakes and shaped like fish. I will surely crave for this place from time to time. I think the prices are acceptable because the food is filling. It's a good heavy snack. I am yet to try the other items in their menu.

I'm not a fan of corn dogs, but I love these Korean street dogs! The concept is similar to a corn dog, but it's a rice dog instead filled with cheese! I always get the sausage dog wrapped in American cheese. I usually do a light sugar coating because I like the saltiness of the cheese dog. when you bite into it, the cheese is completely melted and warm. The mozzarella dog is also delicious, but can be too much cheese for me sometimes. There's also the option to add a potato crust. What also makes these Korean dogs even more tasty are the dipping sauces. I go for the wasabi mayo and/or sriracha ketchup. These rice dogs are always perfectly crunchy when I get them! The tornado potato is also a fun snack option, similar to what you get at the county/state fairs. They also have some other Korean items (kimchi fried rice, ddukbokki, and fried chicken). I do feel it's slightly overpriced for the quantity and there's plenty of surrounding Korean places that are better for those dishes. They also have mochi donuts and boonguhhbang/taiyaki if you're craving something sweet.

Came today for the second time and was still left impressed as the first time. Got the sausage potato crust Korean corn dog without sugar and it is AMAZING. During COVID, they're taking pre-cautions. They limit 1-2 people inside. They have a self-ordering machine for you to use that accepts credit and debit cards including apple and android pay. It however doesn't accept cash. Only cards. At this station, you will find hand sanitizer to use before using and after using their machine. They DO require face masks or no entry. They all were wearing masks themselves and did social distance themselves. Every-time they touched something and moved to a new task, i saw them changing to new gloves which I appreciated so much as someone who is high risk for the virus. I am immune suppressed from a Kidney Transplant, so kudos to them for being so careful for themselves and for their customers. They also have other things they sell which I did take pictures of so you can see their current prices, menu, and what to expect when you visit. If you are debating whether to come or not, GO! You will not regret it. Their potato crust on an all meat sausage is heaven on a stick and a must. I will definitely be coming back for more Korean corn dogs, and have told my family about them.

We had just finished watching a Korean drama called Start-Up and the grandma had a corn dog stand. I am very impressionable when it comes to food so I needed to have me some Korean corn dogs immediately. Online ordering was very convenient. At the time, I didn't see a spot to pick dipping sauces, but they ended up providing one of each. The wasabi Mayo was my favorite of their special sauces, but I didn't love it as much as I thought I would. I wasn't drawn into their drink selection but there's multiple boba places in the plaza to choose from (we went with Happy Lemon). Rice Dog with American Cheese $5: I was a little hesitant because it's American cheese but figure I'd go for it. I think a cheddar would have been nicer. But I think this or the regular rice dog is worth trying to see the difference in batter plus sugar from your typical American corn dogs. Rice Dog All Mozzarella $5 plus ramen crust $1: Speaking of American corn dogs, I also had a craving for cheese on a stick by Hot Dog on a Stick. I was pretty bummed to learn the Oakridge location closed this cuz it home. Anyways this is what my heart wanted so this rice dog did disappoint. I thought the cheese was too bland, and I didn't like the batter combined with it. The ramen crust tastes exactly like dried ramen, but without the seasoning packet. I personally would skip it next time. Mochi Donuts 5 for $10 holiday special: I think the flavors were matcha, strawberry, guava, lychee, and chocolate. Texture was fine but the icings all tasted more or less the same. ***** My Star Ratings: 1 Star - Terrible. Just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars - Meh. Unlikely for me to return. 3 Stars - OK. Open to coming back, but wouldn't go out of my way to. 4 Stars - Yummy! Will definitely return if I haven't already. 5 Stars - AMAZING!!! Would plan my day or even a trip around eating here.

I'm not really familiar with Korean "street food", but this one comes highly recommended. They have these huge breaded mozzarella things on a stick, yummy and filling. We also got these mini waffles with filling: great for kids or adults. Also recommend the rice stick sho soup/stew and sweet Korean fried chicken.

Heard about JSJ for awhile but didn't get to try until recently. When you order, they have tablets you can use to place your order for contactless payment. I got their sausage corn dog ($4) and two mochi donuts. The mochi donuts don't come in singles. They had different sets but I got the one where it was 2 for $5. I decided on Strawberry and Guava mochi donuts, but they had other flavors. There was good amount of people ordering from here but the wait for our order was not long. I was very eager to try the donuts that I did not take photos but both were beautifully decorated. The strawberry mochi donut had edible pearls which made it look super elegant. The guava one had pink sprinkles which were cute. I had the strawberry one first and it was super good. I had the guava a couple hours later, and was surprised how it held its shape so well despite being in the enclosed plastic bag for hours. I also airfryed it for a minute and it was DELICIOUS. There was no sogginess or anything. It was so cool and so good. Not too sweet at all. The corn dog was good but I felt like the batter was just whatever. I'd def come back to try their other variations though. They had plenty of other foods that sounded very good that I'd be down to try next time.

First time trying Korean corn dogs! A bit over hyped for what it is: a corn dog coated in sugar. I ordered a sausage potato crust and stacked sausage & mozzarella cheese corn dog to share. They have a variety of dipping sauces to choose from. Everything was made to order so it was still hot when our order was ready We also opted for the strawberry and lychee mochi donuts and expected it to taste like MoDo but was disappointed with the texture (not chewy enough), flavor (not flavorful), and glaze (thin coat)
