This place changed management and cuisine more times than I changed pajamas during the pandemic! Hope Masala lasts longer. We got to try their catering an event. So it was all buffet and mass quantities. Most of them were quite good especially the veg briyani, mix veg curry, and okra. But the fish pakora was soft and soggy and a little too salty. Look forward to trying their regular menu and seeing how they set up the place for regular dining.

We wanted to try a new restaurant in Cupertino and my wife suggested this place. It wasn't very crowded and there were plenty of outdoor, enclosed patio and indoor seating options available. The staff was just one person but she did a great, efficient job taking our order by menu number. We had butter chicken, and saag paneer with garlic naan...very standard for us. Everything was very flavorful. The saag paneer wasn't overly creamy which made it seem healthier.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of options from all of the menu sectionsKid-friendliness: There were plenty of kids here with their parents. Made the environment seem friendly.

I hosted my college graduation dinner for 30-40 people here, and had the best experience! I had family flying in from all over the country for my graduation ceremony, and wanted to give our travelers a prim & proper dining experience that was not too complicated for us to manage logistically. As someone who's very particular about her Pakistani food, the food definitely lived up to our expectations and was delicious. My personal favorites at this restaurant are the mutton biryani and nihari. Our family hasn't been able to find nihari this delightful in the South Bay Area for years.Beyond the food, the service was fantastic. The owner, Tanzeer, really puts his heart behind the business and truly does his best to maximize his customers' happiness. His staff is also very kind and helpful, as they ever so politely worked well past closing time to clean up the aftermath of my graduation dinner. The setup was divine too, as we were able to book a side room with glass sliding doors opening up to the outdoor dining patio. On that warm summer evening, our guests had a ball in the patio as they were able to sit outside while sipping their chai and munching on their gulab jamun as the sun set.Though my graduation was just a one-time event, my family and I have made it a point to come here for dinner whenever we align all our schedules for a dinner outing or whenever we have family visiting from out of town. Tanzeer Uncle and his staff never disappoint.(PS the buffet option for our big party was more price friendly compared to other places, definitely a great option for gatherings)

We went for dinner tonight for the first time. We had previously been to Tarim and Arya at this location which we liked. The service was good but the food is terrible and some of the worst Indian food I've had. They will not survive if they keep this up.

The guy hates women. Won't acknowledge female customers and looks away while handing over food to women. so weird, will never go back.

Extremely tasteless and bland halwa puri we've ever tried. It wasn't a puri we got. It was pita bread fried up and served to us. Very disappointed and dissatisfied.

Was looking for Indian food and found this place online. Ordered and paid, drove 20 mins just to find that they're closed for remodeling. Their food looks great but they should really disable their online order feature if they're closed.

Tandoori chiken was stale had to return. Lamb Tikka was too dry. Stuffed naan was barely stuffed with Keema. The curries were ok and service is good.

Food is ok. Order was incorrect and unable to fix it nor offered a refund. Wait staff does not speak English well and does not know the menu well.

I was pleasantly surprised by dining at Masala in Cupertino recently, for the first time. Indian and Pakistani curries were very tasty especially when accompanied by their freshly baked garlic naan. Their tandoori specialities are outstanding. I asked the server how they make it so tender and flavorful, and the answer was, "The special marinade and halal meat." For sure I shall return for more of their wonderful offerings.

So yesterday, we went to this restaurant as they have halwa puri and I have tried it before. Majorly disappointed in the service and the food. First, my halwa puri did not come in a thali platter like it did before. Second, I just got the halwa and puri when u are supposed to get the aloo mix and chickpeas with it. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he went to check with chef or whoever it was in the kitchen. Chef says that's how we serve it, which is wrong, since I didn't get it like that before. And i get another lentil dish as a substitute !! The owner/manager should have come out and first and foremost accepted the mistake and apologized. We realize there is a shortage of staff. We waited a good 30-45 minutes to get our food and it was wrong, not once but twice. I don't know if he thought we were Americans who didn't know what halwa puri is ?! I had been recommending this restaurant to my friends since our first experience was delightful and the owner had come to inquire about the food and service but no more. Lastly, the waiter was Hispanic. He seems to have a problem with description of foods so we order by number. You need to have staff which knows about the food. This is not a hole in the wall place where you can manage with just about anyone. If they can't handle the food order for 3 people, how are they going to manage banquets ?! The chole this time was not good either. Biryani and chicken tikka were passable. Restaurants have to maintain their quality. If you want to have good food and good customer service, I suggest you go elsewhere.

We went for dinner yesterday. We ordered chicken biryani, butter chicken and beef chapli burger. The chicken biryani had one goat pc in it and 2 sweet peas. It made me feel so yuk did they mixed all left over rices together... i addressed this to the server but she didn't kw how it happened. The chapli burger is nowhere close to chapli kabob but the butter chicken and naan was good.

I just happen to stumble over this restaurant while in Cupertino. Food was great. Service was great. Price was great.

The food was relatively good. But the service was not. I felt like they were rushing to kick me out altough it was around 8pm and others were eating. From the beginning they were rushing. I mean if some one takes their time to go to this place and pay 15$ for a dish without any side, rice or bread, that means they would like to take their time and enjoy themselves.

I will give them 4 for great customer service. Again chicken tikka was awesome as usual they had all the chutneys with it this time. Chicken 65 was not good at all when it was served but I eat it in the evening but it was awesome what I realized it was not marinated well when cooked but after leaving it for a while it was awesome. Naan was awesome as usual. We tried butter paneer pizza. It was awful no taste no flavor at all. I told you next time I will add pictures I forgot to take a picture of chicken tikka sorry guys. But best customer service.
