The bestest udon in the south bay. Dinner time is always packed, but if you arrive at 11 am for lunch (brunch), it’s empty.

Amazing ox tail udon. Very tender. I added a poached egg to it. Broth clean and not salty. We also had chicken karaage and fried whole squid, which was also tender and flavorful. If you are into udon, this is the place to get something that is different from the others. This place gets busy so it's a good idea to get there at opening.

These are the best udon noodles in Bay Area. The noodles are not too soft and very good. Most udon noodles served in the U.S. are soft, but in Japan, noodles with a firm texture are more popular. The udon at this restaurant is the kind of udon that Japanese people like!

A very clean bowl of Udon. I think it's bold that they let their food shine without adding "fusion" to it.PRO:- Clean simple taste- Boldly allow the Udon to shine on it's own- Reasonably priced- Fast serviceCON:- Water tasted like tap water (did not taste purified)SUMMARY:I like a menu that shows confidence in their core product - Udon. I preferred the oxtail (namesake Udon) over the traditional dashi based (Gobo). Both were

We had the house udon. Soup, noodle, chashu, and egg were all delicious. Food portion was a bit small for guys.

The food was fine, but we were a party of 4 and they included the tip in our bill and didn’t point it out (tip should only be included for party of 6 as indicated on the menu.) I didn’t notice the included tip and tipped on top of that. I noticed after they took away our receipt (I checked the photo I took of the receipt) and asked them to take off the double tip. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when establishments try to trick their customers into tipping on top of included gratuity.

Everything we had for my birthday was super delicious! My uzumakiya udon with an extra egg was on point and the perfect portion. We also had the perfectly seared makeral that was so tasty and juicy. Chicken karaage, umami edemame and dashi fries were all yummy. (Forgot to take pics because everyone chowed it all down.) All my family that ordered the ox tail udon loved it! We made sure to get here exactly at 5pm to beat the rush. Service was faster than I expected even with 2 other parties that were seated before us. I recommend this hidden gem!

Good flavor of noodles and fries here. Really love the dashi fries (highly recommend)!! Great service and plenty of parking at the lot. Music choices for ambiance is good here too. Simple and straightforward menu (easy to choose from options) so good for indecisive people.

Really cute little udon spot in Cupertino! Everything tasted home cooked and was flavorful. The uzumakiya udon had the most tender chashu, and the noodles tasted homemade. I got the spicy uzumakiya and it was pretty mild. We also got the chicken karrage, fries and shishito peppers for apps. All were pretty small portions for 4 people but were still super tasty. The dip for the fries was very yummy. Note- they charge extra if you ask for more sauce for the fries. Will be back forsure! Perfect for a cold day :)

Oxtail is my kryptonite! You must get the oxtail udon. The oxtail was tender. You get 1 oxtail per soup. While I might have wanted more, 1 was sufficient. The noodles were perfectly cooked (my companion thought it was a bit over cooked). The chicken karaage was light and delicious. The green salad was a great as well. Save yourself some money and do not get the spicy option. The extra $1 isn't worth it at all. There was very little spice. Or pack your own hot sauce! All people in the party need to be there in order to sit. Then afterwards, head over to TP Tea. Overall, I'd come back again!

This was a very yummy and timely find on our trip up north from the city. We stopped in and could immediately feel the authenticity. We shared the calamari and an udon bowl, both very delicious and fairly priced.
