We've been here several times and while we have never been overwhelmed, this last visit was underwhelming. We ordered the fish and chips and the mahi mahi and for some reason the F&C was ready a full 5 minutes before the mahi mahi so it sat under the heat lamp all that time. By time I sat down to eat it, it was just warm. To make things worse, they serve the fries and cold slaw (which is good) on the same plate and since the slaw comes with lots of liquid, both the fish and especially the fries that come in contact turn soggy. The slaw should be served in its own bowl to prevent ruining the F&C. I would have scored them a four were it not for this past visit.

The manager was there assisting guests as you walk in cause most of the elderly people can't figure the ordering screen. As a manager in another business found it strange he himself was greeting and assisting each and everyone with a smile and willing to help anyway he could. Sure he has lots to do. But it was nice to see. I was very happy with the food.But really miss the grilled zucchini and bread. Need to bring it back.A place you have to try.Great specials also.

I like going to California fish grill because it has healthy food for a great price. And I want to give kudos to the manager Miguel. He Is simply fantastic. He cares about every customer that walks in the door and make sure they're taking care of in satisfied. And if it's not right, he will make sure to correct it. They're doing a great job over at the California grill in cypress, even though they're short-staffed.

I used to come here all the time and the food WAS great. I come in last night and they have self ordering kiosks??? I ordered the sea bass and it was absolutely disgusting. It was burned under the bottom and very dry. It tasted like dirty grill. I asked for garlic/butter sauce and it had a dollop on each piece of fish. Also, the fish was placed on top of my corn??? The only thing edible was the kale salad...What happened to this place, it used to be so good before the pandemic...
